Off-Duty Cop Jumps Onto Train Tracks to Save Man in Viral Video

A dramatic rescue on the Barcelona metro is going viral after a passenger fell onto the train tracks — and an off-duty officer risked her life to save him.

Security footage shows the man walking unsteadily on the platform before losing his balance and falling onto the tracks. Without hesitation, Felisa “Feli” Pozas, an off-duty officer with Catalonia’s Mossos d’Esquadra, runs toward the edge.

“I didn’t think. I just moved,” Pozas told Spain’s RTVE. “He could have been hit by the train any second.”

The clip shows Pozas jumping down with another bystander. Together, they lift the injured man back onto the platform while others rush to help. The entire rescue unfolded in seconds.

Police said the officer had already tried to call for help using the station’s SOS intercom before the man fell. “Her quick reaction and coordination with other passengers prevented a tragedy,” the department said in a translated statement.

The video, shared by the official @mossos account on X, has been viewed over 130,000 times, with many calling Pozas a hero.

“Bravery like this restores your faith in people,” one user commented.

Local outlet 20minutos reported that the man suffered only minor injuries. Officials said the incident happened on November 25 at one of Barcelona’s central metro stations.

Pozas, who has been with the Mossos for several years, said she doesn’t see herself as a hero. “I just did what anyone would do,” she said.
