Former Prince Andrew Tosses ‘Boobie Ball’ with Kid in Shocking Pics

He no longer carries the title in public life. But Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — once known to the world as Prince Andrew — is back in headlines for a set of eyebrow-raising images that critics say only deepen the cloud surrounding him.

Newly surfaced photos, taken in 2011 inside his Windsor residence, show the former Duke of York playing on the floor with a young boy. The two appear to be rolling a novelty ball back and forth.

The twist?

The ball is painted to resemble a woman’s breast — complete with a protruding pink nipple.

In multiple shots, Andrew is seen kneeling and crawling on a rug as the child tosses the so-called “boobie ball” toward him. In a later image, the pair sit together on a couch, still appearing to be in mid-play.

Sources familiar with the situation insist Andrew was not alone with the child at the time. They say other adults were present in the Windsor home when the pictures were taken more than 15 years ago.

Still, the optics are jarring.

“It’s incredibly tone-deaf given everything that’s followed,” one royal commentator told a U.S.-based outlet. “Even if there was nothing improper happening, the imagery alone is damaging.”

The resurfaced photos come at a sensitive moment.

Andrew was detained Thursday — notably on his 66th birthday — on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Investigators are reportedly examining alleged email communications he exchanged with Jeffrey Epstein during his tenure as the United Kingdom’s trade envoy in the early 2000s.

Officials have emphasized that the current investigation is tied to public office matters, not to the sexual misconduct allegations that have shadowed him for years.

Andrew was released from custody later that evening.

For many Americans watching the saga unfold, the episode reinforces a broader narrative: a once-senior royal whose public image has unraveled in slow motion.

“The problem for Andrew isn’t just legal,” a London-based political analyst said. “It’s perception. Every strange headline revives old questions.”

And in the age of viral images, even a novelty toy can become a symbol of controversy.
