Drive-Thru Death Threat Over Chick-fil-A Chicken

A routine fast-food shift turned into a drive-thru horror show in Atlanta after a suspect allegedly threatened Chick-fil-A workers with death — over chicken — and then snatched cash before peeling away, police say.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, the man pulled up to the drive-thru window at a Chick-fil-A on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Tuesday and made a chilling demand that sent employees scrambling.

“You are going to serve me or get ready to die about some chicken,” the suspect allegedly told workers.

Investigators say surveillance video captured the man at the window as the situation unfolded. In the footage, the suspect appears to linger at the drive-thru while employees react inside — and police say he ultimately stole more than $200 from the restaurant.

After the terrifying encounter, authorities say the suspect bolted from the scene in a silver SUV, leaving shaken workers behind and prompting a search that’s still underway.

Now police are blasting out the suspect’s image and asking for the public’s help identifying him, stressing that even a small tip could be the break they need.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment, investigators said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the getaway vehicle is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or Atlanta police. Tipsters can often remain anonymous, and police say the right information could put the suspect in handcuffs.

The investigation remains active, and authorities say they’re working to track down the suspect as quickly as possible.
