Kamala Harris is taking heat from all sides after revealing she refused to even watch President Donald Trump’s primetime address to the nation on the escalating Iran conflict — and critics wasted no time piling on.
In a short video posted to X just before the speech aired, the former vice president preemptively dismissed Trump’s remarks, claiming she already knew what he was going to say.
“He’s going to claim victory,” Harris said, arguing Americans should focus on the president’s actions instead. She accused Trump of dragging the U.S. into a war “people don’t want,” putting troops at risk, and ignoring problems back home.
Then came the moment that sparked outrage.
Harris bluntly added she “won’t be able” to watch the address at all.
It’s pretty disgraceful for you to claim President Trump has done nothing to meet the needs of the American people.

Here’s the truth: He’s cleaning up the chaos YOU caused here in the United States and across the globe, and is making America great again.
On top of that, he has… https://t.co/sb1nxW5gk3
That admission immediately ignited a firestorm online — especially among conservatives, who accused her of criticizing a speech she didn’t even bother to hear.
Former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows suggested Harris’ comments were less about policy and more about positioning herself for another White House run.
Minnesota Rep. Tom Emmer went even further, blasting Harris for what he called a “disgraceful” take while praising Trump’s leadership.
“He’s cleaning up the chaos YOU caused… and making America great again,” Emmer fired off on X.
Radio host Larry O’Connor summed up the mood in just two words: “Bullet dodged.”
Others online mocked the situation, with some users wondering aloud what “four years of this” would have looked like if Harris had been in charge.
Even the White House got in on the pile-on.
Spokesperson Anna Kelly took a sharp jab, suggesting Harris should listen to the “overwhelming majority of Americans” instead of dismissing the president outright.
Meanwhile, Trump’s speech — carried live across major networks — struck a dramatically different tone.
The president declared Iran had been “eviscerated” in ongoing military operations and hinted that even more aggressive strikes could be on the horizon, warning the regime could be pushed “back to the Stone Ages.”
The contrast couldn’t have been sharper: a commander-in-chief touting battlefield wins on national television… and a former vice president refusing to tune in at all.
Now, the political fallout is only growing louder — with critics arguing Harris didn’t just skip a speech… she handed her opponents the easiest talking point of the week.
