CIA Official Arrested in Shocking Leak of Top-Secret Strike Plans

In a shocking breach of national security, Asif W. Rahman, a CIA officer with access to the highest levels of intelligence, has been arrested and charged for allegedly leaking sensitive information regarding Israel’s military plans against Iran. Rahman, who works overseas for the agency, was arrested in Cambodia on Tuesday and brought to Guam for arraignment.

The arrest follows a federal indictment handed down last week, with Rahman facing two counts of willful retention and transmission of national defense information. According to reports from The New York Times, Rahman held a top-secret security clearance, which granted him access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), including highly classified data from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

The leak centers on U.S. intelligence documents detailing Israel’s preparations for an impending military strike on Iran, which had been in the works for weeks. These documents, compiled from satellite imagery and other sources, were intended for the eyes of only the Five Eyes intelligence alliance—comprising the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The information revealed specific Israeli military actions, including the movement of planes and munitions and large-scale military exercises, in the lead-up to the strike.

This breach was discovered after a pro-Iran Telegram account shared the leaked documents last month. The content of the leak raised alarms among officials, who suspect that it could be an effort to disrupt Israel’s military plans or influence the timing of the strike.

The Israeli attack, which took place after Iran launched over 180 ballistic missiles at Israel in early October, was a direct response to escalating tensions between the two nations. The missile barrage forced much of Israel’s population into bomb shelters, heightening the already fraught security situation in the region.

“The exposure of this intelligence is a direct threat to national security and the security of our allies,” said a senior U.S. official familiar with the investigation. “This leak compromises our ability to safeguard sensitive operations and intelligence partnerships.”

Rahman’s arrest raises serious concerns about the integrity of U.S. intelligence and its ability to protect critical information from falling into the wrong hands. The case is still under investigation, and more details are expected to emerge as authorities work to determine the full scope of the damage caused by the leak.

The CIA has yet to comment on Rahman’s arrest, but the agency has vowed to take swift action against anyone who compromises national security.

  1. I am sure there are more spies in our CIA And FBI and national security. We need more eyes and ears to catch them.
