President-elect Donald Trump marked Thanksgiving with a holiday message that was both celebratory and confrontational, aimed squarely at his supporters and critics alike.
“Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail,” Trump wrote Thursday morning on X, formerly known as Twitter. He added, “The great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
A Landslide Victory and a Familiar Tone
Trump’s message comes just weeks after his decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election, a race he and his supporters have described as a mandate to reverse the policies of the Biden administration. Official results showed Trump with strong support across key battleground states, solidifying his return to the White House.
“Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!” he assured his followers in the same post.
This tone is nothing new for the president-elect. Trump has long blended holiday greetings with pointed jabs at his political adversaries. On New Year’s Day in 2019, he famously wished a Happy New Year to “the haters and the fake news media,” urging them to “just calm down and enjoy the ride.”
Rallying His Base
Trump’s Thanksgiving message underscores his strategy of energizing his base through unapologetic rhetoric. It also signals the policy direction of his upcoming administration, one centered on what he describes as restoring American pride, strength, and productivity.
At a campaign rally in Milwaukee earlier this month, Trump declared, “This movement is about love for our country, respect for our values, and a rejection of the disastrous policies that have held us back.”

While Trump’s supporters have hailed his bold words as a sign of decisive leadership, critics argue that his tone deepens the political divisions within the country. Yet, Trump remains undeterred, pointing to his victory as proof that his message resonates with the American people.

He is really a great guy!
Back in 2016 he promised to unify the country, but his longstanding history of 6th grade bully nicknames and insults made this an empty promise…along with his promise of a wall that Mexico was going to pay for and a fantastic health care plan that has somehow degenerated in his mind to a ‘concept’. Almost forgot, he promised covid would go away with the warm weather in July of 2020…whoops! An international team of epidemiologists comparing Trump’s covid policy, or lack thereof, to the other G7 countries, held him responsible for 40% of American deaths due to covid…that’s over 400,000 Americans died unnecessarily with the buck stopping with him. Those empty promises are facts, not alternate facts, but fact facts! He’s already indicating he’s going to once again share his superpower of bankruptcy with the rest of the country! And his lawyers didn’t argue he was innocent of charges, they argued he was immune of crimes as President. While the illegals are a problem, he grossly exagerated how much, and his Border Czar who talks a good story indicated ‘Well, we actually have to contact the countries of origin to see if they’ll take them back so in the meantime we’ll have to imprison them at taxpayer expense and, since we don’t have nearly enough jails, private prison companies who bribed…I mean donated to his campaign look to make billions, again at the taxpayer expense, to build the prisons to house the illegals.
