In a surprising twist, Barron Trump, the youngest son of President-elect Donald Trump, is being hailed as a key strategist in his father’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. According to Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan, Barron’s insistence on leveraging popular podcasts, including Joe Rogan’s, gave Trump the edge he needed to secure the presidency.
Speaking on Fox News Wednesday, Morgan didn’t hold back in his assessment. “Barron Trump, who looks like a runway model, was telling his father, ‘You need to go on podcasts, you need to go on Joe Rogan,’” Morgan revealed.
The strategy appears to have worked. Trump’s marathon October 25 appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience has amassed over 50 million views on YouTube. In stark contrast, Harris’ October 6 appearance on the widely-followed Call Her Daddy podcast struggled to reach one million views.
“A Smarter Campaign”
Morgan took aim at the Harris campaign for failing to capitalize on similar media opportunities. While Harris did appear on several podcasts, none matched the reach and influence of Rogan’s. “Barron Trump is a lot smarter than everybody in the Harris campaign,” Morgan said bluntly. “The progressives didn’t want to go on Joe Rogan.”
He added that Harris’ team played a losing game. “They played hide the ball, they lost badly, and she should go away and never, ever come back,” Morgan stated.
The Kamala Conundrum
Morgan, a former Democratic donor, also criticized Harris for what he called her misguided attempts to emulate former President Barack Obama. “She thinks she’s Obama,” he said. “She goes to Hawaii because Obama goes to Hawaii. She started talking like Obama, imitating Obama. But she is not Barack Obama. She has no talent. She can never run for president again.”
This critique comes amid reports of internal Democratic concerns about Harris’ viability as a candidate. According to Morgan, he had advised against elevating Harris to lead the ticket after Biden’s withdrawal. “She was going to be tethered to Biden no matter what,” he said.
A Changing Media Landscape
The success of Trump’s podcast appearances highlights the growing influence of alternative media in shaping political narratives. Rogan, a comedian and UFC commentator turned podcast titan, commands an audience of millions and has become a critical platform for reaching nontraditional voters.
In the end, the Harris campaign’s decision to avoid certain platforms may have been costly. “The progressives’ refusal to engage on podcasts like Rogan’s was a massive mistake,” Morgan concluded.
As Trump prepares to take office, it appears that a strategic push from his youngest son helped seal the deal. Barron Trump’s unconventional advice is now being credited as a pivotal factor in one of the most contentious elections in recent memory.
