In a fiery press conference Thursday, President Donald Trump condemned the Democratic administrations of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, blaming their leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies for what could be the worst aviation disaster in the U.S. in nearly 25 years.
The tragic mid-air collision occurred Wednesday evening as a commercial airliner carrying 60 passengers and four crew members crashed into an Army helicopter during its approach to Ronald Reagan National Airport. Officials confirmed Thursday morning that all 64 people onboard the two aircraft are presumed dead.
Trump wasted no time pointing the finger at his predecessors. “This is what happens when you prioritize woke politics over real qualifications,” he said. “Obama and Biden weakened our aviation system. Instead of hiring the best and brightest, they pushed DEI nonsense. Now we’re seeing the deadly consequences.”
Aviation experts and former officials have warned for years that federal agencies, including the FAA and the Department of Transportation, have shifted focus away from safety and technical excellence in favor of diversity initiatives. “You can’t fill critical aviation positions based on quotas,” said retired pilot and former FAA consultant Mark Reynolds. “There’s no room for error in the sky. This tragedy was preventable.”
Trump also criticized Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg for failing to ensure rigorous oversight. “Under my administration, we had the safest skies in history,” Trump asserted. “Now, under Biden and Buttigieg, the system is falling apart.”
While investigators are still determining the exact cause of the crash, early reports suggest possible miscommunication between air traffic control and the military aircraft. Sources inside the FAA, speaking anonymously, claim staffing shortages and training issues have plagued the agency in recent years.
Many Americans are demanding answers. A new flash poll from the Conservative Action Network found that 78% of likely Republican voters believe DEI policies have compromised national safety.
Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) called for immediate congressional hearings. “We need to get to the bottom of this,” Hawley stated. “Americans deserve to know if these reckless policies contributed to this disaster.”
As investigations unfold, Trump vowed that if re-elected, he would overhaul the FAA, eliminate DEI hiring practices, and restore what he called “a culture of excellence” in the aviation industry. “We will make our skies safe again,” he promised.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for further updates.

The blame game begins. Trump blames the Democratic Administration for the crash? What a joke, Mr. Trump!
BETWEEN OBAMA AND BIDEN THEY HAVE WEAKENED MORE THAN HELPED
Trump’s accusation is wrong. The helicopter flew into the airplane, it was pioleted by a student on a training flight, and may not have known how to stear clear of the airplane. Helicopters are harder to stear than airplanes, I know from experience.
In reality, no one knows what happened in the crash, there will be an investigation into the accident, if the investigation revealed, that government policies was at fault, changes will be made, but no government man will be held accountable, as we all know, is a demokrap thing.🧌💩🦥
