Trump Unleashes on ABC’s Terry Moran: ‘I Don’t Trust You’ (Video)

In a fiery, no-holds-barred interview that aired Tuesday night, President Donald Trump tore into ABC News and veteran correspondent Terry Moran, accusing the outlet of peddling lies and labeling Moran a “nobody” who was “lucky” to land the interview.

“I don’t trust you. I don’t trust a lot of people,” Trump shot back when Moran questioned his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Look at you—grinning like it’s a game. Then you start with the fake questions. It’s why nobody trusts the media anymore.”

The interview was meant to reflect on the president’s second-term milestone — 100 days back in the White House. But instead, it exploded into a clash between Trump and a news organization he’s made no secret of loathing.

“You’re Welcome, Terry — I Made You Relevant”

Moran pressed the president on immigration policy, especially the controversial deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a criminal illegal alien with prior convictions. Trump didn’t hold back.

“They’re giving you the big break of a lifetime,” Trump said. “I picked you, Terry. Never even heard of you before this. But I said, ‘What the hell — let’s give ABC a chance.’ And now you’re being nasty.”

ABC News has so far refused to comment on the president’s verbal jabs.

Trump Unfiltered: From Biden to the Border

The president didn’t just hammer the media — he took aim at his predecessor, Joe Biden, calling him “grossly incompetent.”

“We had a president who didn’t know what day it was,” Trump said. “You knew it, I knew it, everybody knew it. But you people wouldn’t touch it because you’re fake news. ABC’s one of the worst, I have to be honest.”

This kind of blunt rhetoric is nothing new for Trump, who ran on — and returned with — a promise to dismantle the leftist media-industrial complex. But even by his standards, this interview was personal.

White House Goes on Offense

Backing up the president’s fury, the White House released a blistering statement listing 57 so-called “hoaxes” spread by Democrats and the media during Trump’s first 100 days.

“From the Russia collusion scam to climate hysteria and economic doom predictions — it’s been nothing but lies from the media and their Democrat partners,” the statement read. “The American people deserve truth, not propaganda.”

A New Chapter in Trump’s War on Media

Trump’s war with the press, particularly left-leaning outlets like ABC, CNN, and MSNBC, has escalated since he returned to office in January. But this interview underscored something more — a president who no longer tolerates the usual rules of media engagement.

Republican strategists say Trump’s combativeness resonates with everyday Americans who feel ignored or belittled by corporate media.

“Trump doesn’t need the media — he is the media,” said GOP consultant Jenna Marshall. “When he calls out fake news, millions of Americans say, ‘Finally, someone who gets it.’”

The interview comes just days before Trump’s much-anticipated 100-day speech, where he’s expected to tout a booming stock market, tightened border security, and America’s renewed dominance on the world stage.

As for ABC’s Moran? Trump had the last word:

“Enjoy your ratings bump. You can thank me later.”

  1. We don’t like Terry either. He treated the President as if he were a commoner and not the President.

  2. Terry Moran is a lying “nobody” on one of the worst networks in media! Trump is 100% correct by calling them out! None of the big media networks can be trusted to report truthfully and/or accurately!
