Democrat Accused of Cutting Disabled Passengers in Line at Airport

Outrage exploded online this week after Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) was photographed skipping ahead of wheelchair-bound passengers at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport—sparking fresh accusations of entitlement and abuse of power.

According to multiple eyewitnesses and photos posted by House GOP Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-MI), Crockett brazenly boarded her Delta flight with a taxpayer-funded police escort—passing by visibly disabled travelers waiting for priority access.

“SPOTTED: Jasmine Crockett with a taxpayer-funded police escort, cutting everyone in line — even making DISABLED people wait,” McClain wrote on social media, sharing images of the Texas lawmaker and her entourage bypassing the boarding queue. “Nothing to see here, just the next leader of the Democrats, abusing her power.”

The backlash was swift—and fierce. Critics from across the political spectrum slammed the congresswoman, who has a growing reputation for brashness and media theatrics.

DOT Rules Clearly Violated?

According to federal guidelines from the Department of Transportation, passengers with disabilities must be allowed to board flights before others to ensure they have adequate time to get seated. But in this case, Crockett appeared to leapfrog them altogether.

“She ignored the rules and common decency,” said Phil Holloway, a conservative legal analyst and columnist. “Why does she get VIP treatment while disabled Americans are left behind?”

Janine Thomas, a frequent Delta flyer and mother of a disabled child, expressed her frustration online: “This is bigger than politics—it’s about respect. Shame on her.”

Not the First Controversy

This isn’t Crockett’s first run-in with outrage. Earlier this year, the Texas Democrat drew bipartisan condemnation after mocking Governor Greg Abbott—who uses a wheelchair—as “Governor Hot Wheels.” Though she never apologized, Crockett doubled down on her rhetoric in interviews, calling critics “fragile.”

Her latest display, critics argue, only reinforces a troubling pattern.

“Flying first class on our dime. Reminds me of when Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee booted a woman from her first-class seat,” posted self-described MAGA supporter Fred Jones. “Power goes to their heads—and the rules don’t apply.”

Rising Star—or Rising Risk?

Crockett, now in her second term, has rapidly climbed the ranks of progressive politics and is seen by some Democrats as a possible successor to Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) as ranking member of the House Oversight Committee. Connolly announced last week he is stepping down due to a cancer recurrence.

Crockett currently serves on the Oversight Committee and has frequently clashed with Republican firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), gaining headlines for her combative tone and viral soundbites.

Yet her confrontational style may be wearing thin.

“She’s more interested in cable news clips than constituent service,” said a senior Republican aide. “This airport stunt is just the latest example of someone who’s forgotten who she works for.”

Trump Takes Notice

Even former President Donald Trump weighed in, calling Crockett a “low IQ person” during an NBC Meet the Pressinterview Sunday.

Crockett fired back quickly, saying, “Every time you say my name, you’re reminding the world that you’re terrified of smart, bold Black women telling the truth and holding you accountable.”

But some saw her response as calculated self-promotion rather than substance.

“She wants the feud. It keeps her in the spotlight and distracts from her record,” said political strategist Mike Drummond. “But voters notice the arrogance. Cutting the disabled in line doesn’t play well in Peoria.”

No Comment, No Accountability

As of Tuesday afternoon, Crockett’s office had not responded to requests for comment.

Meanwhile, the families of those reportedly snubbed at the gate are still waiting for an apology.

“She may not answer to us now,” one Georgia veteran told a local news outlet, “but she will come November.”

Should Congress crack down on taxpayer-funded perks?

  1. Sounds about right for this foul mouthed, semi- literate Texas Rep. \”Rules for thee, but not for me.\”

  2. Crockett\’s constitutional score is a paltry 3%, hardly worthy of American citizenship. Thefreedomindex.org

  3. And let’s see another reason she makes distracting noise: distraction from her felony theft of Social Security. She’s been caught cashing her grandmother’s Social Security checks–since her grandmother died in 2012! Over $400,000 so far. If Pam Bondi’s DOJ lets this on slide, I’ll have lost the last of my confidence in her as Attorney General of the U.S. Indeed, the GOP seems to prefer just exposing crimes (on TV and social media) rather than filing charges, arresting, and putting on trial criminals in our federal government.

  4. Another example of Black Entitlement I hope evryone remembers this when it’s time for reelection time.
