Jimmy Kimmel to ‘Escape’ USA as Trump Puts Hollywood’s Left on Notice

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel — a man who’s spent years taking cheap shots at President Donald Trump — is now openly talking about bolting from America. Why? Because Trump’s back in the White House, and Kimmel thinks his career could soon be over.

Speaking on his own show, the 57-year-old comedian bragged that he’s secured Italian citizenship, hinting at an “escape plan” should the President “cancel” him.

“I did get Italian citizenship, I do have that,” Kimmel told viewers. “What’s going on is as bad as you thought it was gonna be… It’s so much worse, it’s just unbelievable.”

The remark came after Trump, speaking from the Oval Office, predicted Kimmel and fellow host Jimmy Fallon are “next” to face the axe.

“Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They’re next. They’re going to be going,” Trump said flatly.

Kimmel’s comments come amid a steady drip of liberal celebrities packing their bags since Trump’s triumphant 2024 victory. Ellen DeGeneres has fled to England. Rosie O’Donnell retreated to Ireland.

“Good riddance,” said one longtime Trump supporter in Los Angeles. “If they hate the country so much, they can watch it thrive from overseas.”

This isn’t the first time Tinseltown stars have threatened to leave the country when conservatives win power — but under Trump’s second term, some are actually following through.

In a surprising twist, Kimmel also turned his fire on the very movement he’s been a part of, admitting that “woke” cancel culture has made comedians “think twice” before telling a joke.

“It’s the loud voices that scare people from saying what they believe,” Kimmel said. “A lot of their points are valid, but a lot of them are also just repulsive.”

His sudden criticism of leftist culture raises eyebrows — especially given that Trump himself has repeatedly called Kimmel “a political hack pretending to be a comedian.”

Kimmel’s fears may not be unfounded. Stephen Colbert, another fierce Trump critic, recently announced his show would end next year.

CBS blamed low ratings and falling ad revenue, but insiders suspect political pressure. Paramount, which owns CBS, had just settled for $16 million in a lawsuit over deceptive editing of a “60 Minutes” interview with then–Vice President Kamala Harris. Days later, Colbert’s show was axed.

Trump wasted no time celebrating, calling Colbert “boring,” adding, “When the ratings drop, the truth comes out.”

For Trump supporters, the exodus of left-wing celebrities is a welcome change.

“They’ve spent years mocking half the country,” said political commentator Jack Monroe. “Now the tables have turned — and suddenly they can’t take the heat.”

Whether Kimmel actually leaves for Italy remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: under Trump’s America, the days of late-night comedians acting as the moral police — without consequences — may be coming to an end.

  1. Just leave. Now! No one will miss you. And you lost your sense of humor as all liberals do. So do us all a favor and leave. I don’t care where you go but just leave. Today if possible

  2. The plane has almost finished boarding. Hurry, hurry Jimmy! We don’t want you to miss your flight out!

  3. In my humble opinion, anyone and everyone who has a circle of friends, a congregation, a platform, a social following, a class…..you might want to share, present, offer this message…..to counter much of the negative, misinformation, lies, and distortion of history that is pervading our news outlets, classrooms, social media, etc.

  4. Outright censorship is wrong. There is a huge profit to be made by replacing these comedians with MAGA-fueled stand-ups. ABC & CBS could have handled things much better. However polarization and pointing fingers at people you don’t like is profitable. It gets viewers. Can we live in peace without being hateful at each other?
