Bill Gates ‘LOVED’ Jeffrey Epstein but Melinda Forbid Their Friendship

In a scandal that continues to cast a dark shadow over America’s elite institutions, newly unsealed communications reveal that billionaire Bill Gates not only maintained close contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein—but, according to a Gates advisor, he “loved” him.

The disturbing texts, uncovered in the latest tranche of Epstein documents released this month, suggest that Gates’ relationship with the disgraced financier was far warmer—and more deeply personal—than previously admitted.

“He wants to talk to you but his wife won’t let him,” a Gates advisor wrote to Epstein in 2017.

“He loves you,” the message added. “He says hi. He feels bad.”

The messages, which have not been disputed by the Gates Foundation, appear to confirm what many skeptics of elite power have long suspected: that Epstein’s ties to powerful men were not just professional but deeply embedded in their social networks.

According to the newly unearthed records, Gates was entertaining a philanthropic venture with Epstein—a “donor-advised fund” Epstein hoped to oversee as a tax shelter for billionaires. But plans were derailed when Melinda Gates reportedly demanded an end to the relationship.

“She made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with Epstein,” said one former Gates Foundation employee who spoke on condition of anonymity. “She felt it was a betrayal—not just of their marriage, but of their values.”

Melinda would later confirm those concerns publicly.

“I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein. I made that clear to him,” she told Vanity Fair in 2021.

The Gateses finalized their divorce in August of that year, with Melinda receiving an estimated $12.5 billion in the settlement. She cited Bill’s friendship with Epstein as a “major factor” in the split.

Despite Gates’ later regrets, the friendship persisted for years, even as Epstein’s record as a sexual predator became public knowledge.

• In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to procuring a minor for prostitution.
• In 2019, he was arrested again on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors.
• He died under highly suspicious circumstances in a New York jail cell shortly after.

Yet Gates continued to engage with Epstein well after his 2008 conviction. A 2023 congressional report revealed Gates met Epstein on multiple occasions while seeking donors for his global health initiatives.

In one newly revealed text, Epstein even suggested enlisting Obama-era White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler to help change Melinda’s mind about him.

“She would love to sit with Melinda and give her the other side of Jeffrey,” Epstein reportedly told Gates’ inner circle.

Ruemmler, who later became Goldman Sachs’ chief legal officer, was reportedly close with Epstein before joining the bank. She has not been accused of wrongdoing.

Despite these disturbing revelations, few in the mainstream press have pursued the Gates-Epstein angle aggressively. Compare this to the media’s constant scrutiny of President Trump’s past business ties—a contrast many conservatives say is blatant hypocrisy.

“If these texts were about Trump instead of Gates, there’d be wall-to-wall coverage on CNN,” said political strategist Buck Lancaster. “But when it’s a Democrat-leaning billionaire tied to Epstein, the media goes silent.”

Republicans on Capitol Hill have already signaled renewed interest in investigating Epstein’s elite network.

Since the scandal erupted, Gates has kept a low profile. He issued a carefully worded statement in 2022:

“Meeting with Epstein was a mistake that I regret deeply,” he told CBS News. “It was a substantial error in judgment.”

Gates continues to co-chair the Gates Foundation alongside Melinda, though their personal and professional partnership appears increasingly strained. He is now dating Paula Hurd, widow of former Oracle CEO Mark Hurd.

Meanwhile, Melinda Gates runs her own Seattle-based venture, Pivotal, and has hinted at expanding her role in global women’s advocacy.

Epstein’s social web extended far beyond Gates. His circle included Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and yes—even Donald Trump, though the latter publicly cut ties with Epstein years before his second arrest.

Few others can say the same.
