Epstein Was Invited to Democrat Fundraiser to Meet Hakeem Jeffries

Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was invited to a high-dollar Democrat fundraiser in 2013—and was pitched as someone who could “get to know” then-new Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, now the House Minority Leader.

That’s the shocking claim from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), who is leading the House’s investigation into Epstein’s political connections.

“Democrats didn’t just accept Epstein. They courted him,” Comer said on the House floor. “They asked him to meet with Hakeem Jeffries. They even invited him to a fundraiser with President Obama.”

The evidence? A 2013 email sent to Epstein by Lisa Rossi, a partner at the New York political firm Dynamic SRG. The message was forwarded to Epstein by his own assistant.

Subject line: “Rising Star.”

The email praised Jeffries as a “staunch supporter of President Obama,” and called him “Brooklyn’s Barack.” It included a video showcasing Jeffries’ work and said he was focused on helping Democrats win back the House.

The firm then made a clear offer:

“Shoot us an email or give us a call… if you would like to get involved with the dinner, or would like to get an opportunity to get to know Hakeem better.”

That dinner? A Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) event featuring President Barack Obama.

At the time of this email, Epstein had already pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting sex from a minor and was a registered sex offender.

“There is no way Democratic operatives didn’t know who Epstein was in 2013,” said GOP consultant Tom Ferguson. “They invited him anyway.”

There’s no public record that Epstein donated to Jeffries or the DCCC during that period, but Comer says the invite is damning enough.

“Whether he gave money or not doesn’t matter. The Democratic establishment gave a convicted pedophile a seat at the table,” Comer said.

The email is part of a massive document release from the House Oversight Committee—more than 20,000 Epstein-related files obtained during the probe.

So far, neither Jeffries, Lisa Rossi, nor the Dynamic SRG firm have commented.

Epstein donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democrats in the 1990s and early 2000s. He hosted fundraisers, attended elite political events, and had relationships with figures like Bill Clinton and Harvard elites—even after his sex crime conviction.

“For years, Epstein was treated as a VIP by the same party that now claims to be defenders of women,” said conservative commentator Laura Shaw. “Where was their outrage back then?”

Epstein died in 2019 in a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial on federal child sex trafficking charges.

Now, under renewed Republican control in Congress and with President Donald Trump back in the White House, lawmakers say the cover-up days are over.

“We’re going to expose every dirty connection Epstein had with the Democrat Party,” Comer promised. “It doesn’t stop with one email.”
