Dr. Anthony Fauci didn’t just get it wrong—he covered it up, according to FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, who just dropped bombshell allegations on Pod Force One.
“He was frantically sending 3 a.m. emails and working the phones to hide the truth,” Makary told host Miranda Devine. “This wasn’t mismanagement. This was a full-blown cover-up.”
Makary, a former Johns Hopkins professor and current Biden administration official-turned-whistleblower, claims Fauci actively buried evidence that COVID-19 originated from a Chinese lab. And not just any lab—the same Wuhan Institute of Virology where U.S. taxpayer money was funneled for dangerous virus experiments that Fauci helped fund.
Whether Fauci’s fingerprints were directly on the gain-of-function experiments or not, Makary says one thing is clear: “He was 100% involved in the cover-up. That’s not a theory—it’s a fact.”
And it gets worse. Fauci received a sweeping pardon from President Biden in December 2024, shielding him from prosecution for anything he did between 2014 and the day the pardon was signed. That pardon came just weeks before President Trump was re-elected.
“Only recently did Fauci take it to the next level—weaponizing science to spread political propaganda,” Makary said. “He commissioned the very papers used to lie to the public.”
One of those papers, “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” was published in early 2020 and dismissed the lab leak theory. What Fauci didn’t mention when citing it from the White House podium—he approved and helped coordinate it himself.
Four virologists wrote that paper just days after a secret call with Fauci and former NIH director Dr. Francis Collins. According to Makary, those same scientists privately told Fauci they believed the virus came from the Wuhan lab. Days later, they were publicly saying the opposite.
And the payoff? “Millions of dollars in research funding flowed to those authors from Fauci’s agency,” Makary revealed.
This wasn’t accidental. It was deliberate. “He convened meetings. He managed the message. He rigged the science. Then he turned around and fed that fake science to the American people. Fauci lied—knowingly,” Makary said.
Makary slammed the now-disgraced virologists for behaving like foot soldiers in Fauci’s operation, calling it “an American tragedy.”
And what about safety standards at the Wuhan lab? “It had the protocols of a back-alley dental office,” Makary said. Yet somehow, Fauci and Collins still pushed U.S. grant money into its programs after quietly weakening Obama-era restrictions on gain-of-function research.
“They did everything they could, bureaucratically, to get around the safeguards. Then Fauci went before Congress and parsed his words so carefully it amounted to lying under oath,” Makary said.
Many Americans remember Fauci’s televised clashes with Senator Rand Paul, who repeatedly accused him of misleading Congress. At the time, Fauci furiously denied any wrongdoing. But behind the scenes, Makary now claims, Fauci was pulling every lever to keep the truth buried.
What’s more chilling is the silence from the medical community. “I was at Johns Hopkins. My colleagues—smart people—had no idea what was really happening. The establishment had blind allegiance to Fauci and Collins. Why? Because they controlled the funding,” Makary said.
“They’ve achieved sainthood. And no one dares question the saints—no matter how corrupt they are.”
Fauci has largely vanished from public view since Biden’s last-minute pardon. According to insiders, he’s now consulting quietly for private pharma firms. But calls are growing louder for a full federal investigation—and for Congress to undo the legal protections Biden handed him.
Makary didn’t hold back: “He manipulated science. He misled the nation. And he walked away with a pardon. That’s not accountability. That’s Washington protecting its own.”
As President Trump pushes for full declassification of COVID-era communications, insiders suggest this may only be the beginning. The next round of hearings could expose even more evidence of how America’s most trusted “doctor” turned science into spin—and got away with it.
“He lied to Congress. He lied to the press. He lied to the American people,” Makary said. “And thanks to Biden, he may never face justice.”
