Donald Trump ‘Terminates’ All Biden Pardons, Commutations Signed by Autopen

In a stunning move that could send shockwaves through the legal and political system, President Donald J. Trump has declared that all executive actions, pardons, and commutations signed using President Joe Biden’s infamous autopen are now officially terminated.

“Any and all documents signed by the now infamous and unauthorized ‘AUTOPEN,’ within the Administration of Joseph R. Biden Jr., are hereby null, void, and of no further force or effect,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday afternoon. “Anyone receiving ‘Pardons,’ ‘Commutations,’ or any other Legal Document so signed, please be advised that said Document has been fully and completely terminated.”

This unprecedented order challenges years of executive tradition — but Trump and key Republican lawmakers say this isn’t about tradition. It’s about transparency, fitness for office, and constitutional authority.

The autopen, a mechanical device that mimics a person’s signature, has long been used by high-level officials to handle ceremonial or repetitive paperwork. But under Biden, its use reportedly exploded — with some insiders alleging up to 92% of Biden’s executive orders may have been “signed” by machine.

And that’s the problem, according to President Trump and his allies: Did Biden even read or understand the documents he ‘signed’? Who was really in charge?

“This wasn’t governance. This was deception,” said Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Chair of the House Oversight Committee. “The Biden Autopen Presidency is one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history.”

President Trump’s move follows months of growing concern within GOP ranks about Biden’s mental acuity and the shadowy influence of unelected staffers during his administration.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) minced no words:

“FOR YEARS, unelected Deep State bureaucrats ran our country with an autopen while President Biden sat on the sidelines in cognitive decline,” he wrote on X. “What happened was unforgivable. INVALIDATE THEM ALL.”

Legal experts are split on Trump’s declaration. Some insist that presidents can revoke executive orders at will — but pardons and commutations? That’s murkier.

Former Obama-era U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade claimed:

“Autopen signatures are valid. The signing method is irrelevant.”

But that argument doesn’t hold water with Trump’s legal team. One insider told The Federal Beacon that the Biden autopen scandal may reach the Supreme Court:

“This is about constitutional process. If Joe Biden wasn’t mentally fit to review the orders or understand them, then the legitimacy of those signatures must be questioned.”

Biden issued multiple pardons before leaving office in January 2025, including for his brother Frank Biden, and the son of a major Democratic donor — both of whom had been facing federal investigations.

Now, those clemency orders — and many others — are in legal limbo.

“I would not want to be holding a pardon signed by a robot during a shadow presidency,” said conservative attorney Jenna Ellis on her podcast. “Good luck explaining that in federal court.”

So far, the Justice Department and White House legal counsel have not issued formal responses. But sources tell The Federal Beacon that internal reviews are underway, and clemency recipients are panicking about the status of their legal protections.

President Trump has signaled he’s willing to let the courts sort it out — but insists he’s acting in defense of the Constitution and presidential authority.

“We cannot allow a president’s staff — or his pen — to govern the country. We are restoring real leadership,” Trump posted late Tuesday.

This is more than a battle over signatures. It’s a fight over legitimacy, authority, and the future of presidential accountability. And under President Trump’s second term, it’s clear: autopen governance is over.
