The Sussexes are ending 2025 with yet another public relations nightmare. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s top U.S. publicist, Meredith Maines, has officially quit after less than a year on the job — marking the 11th PR exit since the couple left royal life.

Maines, who joined the team in March 2025, confirmed her departure on December 26, claiming her “work was concluded.” But insiders say the timing — and tone — tell a different story. After a string of PR disasters, “mission accomplished” doesn’t quite fit.

As reports of Meghan’s demanding management style continue to swirl, her denials aren’t stopping the chatter. “Eleven PRs in five years says more than any statement could,” one industry observer told The Royalist.
