A Florida nurse has been booted from her job after unleashing one of the most vicious political attacks of the year — a filmed rant cheering for White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt to be brutally injured while giving birth.
The video, dripping with profanity and venom, sent shockwaves across the internet and raised new alarms about the escalating hatred directed at conservative women serving in the Trump administration.
The culprit: Lexie Lawler, a now-former labor and delivery nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
In the video, Lawler smirked into the camera as she said, “As a labor and delivery nurse, it gives me great joy to wish Karoline Leavitt a fourth-degree tear,” before erupting into an obscene tirade wishing permanent injury on the expecting mother.
“I hope you rip from bow to stern and never sit normally again,” she said, finishing with a final insult so crude it stunned even her own peers.
One Florida nurse who watched the clip told us, “This isn’t politics. This is someone who should never be near a pregnant woman again. It was sick.”
Baptist Health wasted no time ejecting Lawler from the building.
“The individual is no longer employed,” said Patty Abril, the system’s communications director. Senior staff admit the fallout inside the hospital was immediate and intense.
Another employee said, “Patients were calling. Nurses were furious. Nobody could believe a trained caregiver would celebrate a woman being torn open during childbirth — let alone the press secretary to the president.”
Administrators, sources say, viewed the video as a catastrophic breach of trust.
Leavitt, 28, is part of a growing wave of young mothers inside the Trump White House — a trend celebrated by supporters as the return of pro-family leadership in Washington.
But critics say that rising visibility has turned conservative women into lightning rods for online abuse.
A senior Trump official put it bluntly:
“Democrats claim to champion women. But the second a woman works for President Trump, the mask drops, and the hatred comes pouring out. This nurse just said the quiet part out loud.”
Leavitt and her husband, Nick, are expecting a baby girl this May, joining their son Niko, born in 2024. The press secretary has drawn praise from Republican voters for balancing motherhood with one of the most demanding jobs in the country.
Lara Trump weighed in, calling the nurse’s rant “pure evil.”
“You don’t have to like someone politically,” she said. “But wishing physical harm on a pregnant mother? That’s where the left has dragged this country.”
The Trump White House has not publicly responded, but insiders say staff were “disgusted” by the video.
One official told us, “The president refuses to feed online trolls. But nobody in the West Wing shrugged this off. It was depraved.”
Lawler refused to comment when Newsweek reached out. Her TikTok account has since been locked down.
The incident has ignited a nationwide conversation about hostility toward conservative women, the decline of professionalism in healthcare, and the dark places political hatred can lead.
One GOP strategist summed it up:
“This wasn’t a joke. This wasn’t satire. This was a medical professional openly fantasizing about harming a pregnant woman because she works for President Trump. That should terrify every American.”

She Should Be JUDGED and hopefully found GUILTY!Sent from my iPhone. Hugo Madrigal
They’ll start a go fund me for this bitch and she’ll still cry she’s the victim.
Former Nurse Lexie Lawler totally disregarded the pledge she made. The Nightingale Pledge stating: Before God and those assembled here, I solemnly pledge; To adhere to the code of ethics of the nursing profession; To co-operate faithfully with the other members of the nursing team and to carry out faithfully and to the best of my ability the instructions of the physician or the nurse who may be assigned to supervise my work; I will not do anything evil or malicious, and I will not knowingly give any harmful drug or assist in malpractice. I will not reveal any confidential information that may come to my knowledge in the course of my work. And I pledge myself to do all in my power to raise the standards and prestige of practical nursing; May my life be devoted to service and to the high ideals of the nursing profession.
With the vengeance she spewed, she has no business in the nursing profession. She has proven her ‘commitment’ to quality of life; rather, the lack thereof. What would she ‘do’ to anyone she really knew or disliked. She is a danger. More than likely she will create a GoFundMe and end up with millions. Prayerfully the state of Florida will SUSPEND her license for a lifetime.
She should be terminated. How vile.Sent from my iPhone
I think a lot of peop
Not surprising. A typical action by a progressive party supporter.
Another disgusting comment from a looney lefty.
