Knife-Wielding Neighbor Stabs Girl and Grandpa in Chilling Driveway Attack (Video)

Shocking new footage out of Los Angeles shows the moment a knife-wielding neighbor suddenly snapped and attacked a 10-year-old girl and her grandfather during what should have been a routine school-morning pickup.

The disturbing video, obtained by KTLA, captures two kids heading down their Sunland driveway to meet their grandfather when their mentally unstable neighbor suddenly rushed them with a knife. The children immediately bolted back up the driveway, screaming as the suspect darted wildly between cars, waving the blade in the air.

Their grandfather, in his 70s, appears on camera trying to get up from the street in a blood-soaked shirt after being stabbed in the neck. The attacker lunges toward him again, then jumps into the family’s black Volvo and speeds off.

Police say the grandfather and three children were loading into the car just before 7:40 a.m. when the man reportedly came up behind them and began slashing.

“Grandpa puts the granddaughter into the car, psychopath runs at the granddaughter and straight up stabs her in the arm,” neighbor Mike Agajanyan told KTLA. “Grandpa runs at him, he turns the knife on him and stabs him on the neck and on the arm.”

Two of the children managed to escape, but the 10-year-old girl and her grandfather were both stabbed before the attacker took off in their car, later ditching it miles away. The pair were rushed to the hospital in stable condition.

Neighbors say the suspect is a troubled man in his 30s who has been terrorizing the block for years. According to residents, he’s been arrested repeatedly, with even family members calling police for help — only for him to be released every time.

“It’s terrifying but honestly not surprising,” one neighbor said. “We’ve been having problems with him for years.”

The suspect’s family told reporters they’ve tried getting him mental-health support. Police have not released his name or charges, but he was captured around 2 p.m. after an hours-long search.
