The bad blood between former First Lady Jill Biden and longtime Democratic power broker Nancy Pelosi appears far from over.
Nearly two years after Democratic leaders turned on former President Joe Biden following his disastrous debate performance against President Donald Trump, Jill Biden is making it clear that forgiveness has not come easily.
In a revealing interview tied to the release of her new memoir, View from the East Wing, Jill admitted she still has not repaired her relationship with Pelosi, the former House Speaker who played a key role in the effort to pressure Biden out of the 2024 presidential race.
The fallout stems from one of the most dramatic moments in modern Democratic politics.
Following Biden’s widely criticized debate performance against Trump in June 2024, concerns about the president’s age and mental sharpness exploded across the political landscape. While many Democrats initially stood by Biden publicly, several influential figures began signaling that it was time for him to step aside.
Among the most significant voices was Pelosi.
During a television appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Pelosi stopped short of fully backing Biden and delivered a comment that sent shockwaves through Washington.
“It’s up to the President to decide if he is going to run,” Pelosi said at the time. “We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short.”
Behind the scenes, reports indicated Pelosi was also privately urging Biden to reconsider his campaign.
For Jill Biden, the move felt deeply personal.
The Bidens and Pelosis had spent decades as close allies within Democratic politics. Their relationship stretched back to Biden’s Senate years and strengthened during the Obama administration, when Biden served as vice president and Pelosi wielded enormous influence as House Speaker.
But that decades-long alliance fractured after the debate meltdown.
According to Jill, while Joe Biden has since moved toward reconciliation, she has not.
The former president and Pelosi found themselves attending the same funeral in January when Kennedy family member Tatiana Schlossberg was laid to rest in New York. During the Catholic Mass, Biden reportedly left his pew during the traditional “sign of peace” to greet Pelosi.
Jill, however, revealed she did not make a similar effort.
“I haven’t actually seen her to make up with her or not make up with her,” Jill said. “I didn’t even see her in the church.”
The remark has fueled renewed speculation about just how deep the wounds still run inside Democratic circles.
Despite her lingering frustrations, Jill suggested recent events may have changed her perspective.
Joe Biden’s health became a major concern after he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones following his departure from office.
Reflecting on that diagnosis, Jill indicated she is trying to leave old grudges behind.
“That’s what I’ve learned through this cancer diagnosis,” she said. “Life’s so short. Why live with the anger and the pain of it all? I mean, move on. Let’s move on.”
The timing of her comments comes as her new memoir is already generating controversy.
In one of the book’s most talked-about passages, Jill recounts her thoughts during Biden’s now-infamous debate against Trump.
Watching from the sidelines as her husband struggled through answers and repeatedly lost his train of thought, Jill says she feared something was seriously wrong.
“Is this a stroke?” she recalled thinking.
“I felt like we were watching an AI hologram of the man we knew, and the hologram was glitching. Has he been drugged?”
She also worried that viewers would assume the debate performance reflected Biden’s condition all the time.
The book reveals that even Biden himself recognized the political disaster unfolding before millions of Americans.
According to Jill, after walking off the debate stage, Biden turned to her and delivered a blunt assessment of his performance.
“I really f***ed up, didn’t I?” he asked.
“Yes, you did,” Jill replied.
That debate would become the turning point that ultimately ended Biden’s reelection campaign and triggered one of the most bitter internal battles the Democratic Party has faced in decades.
And judging by Jill Biden’s latest comments, some of those wounds have yet to fully heal.

Jill Biden is the worst to lie about Joes health and only when Joe was faltering at the debate, she now claimed she thought he was having a stroke. What? She did not flinch and let him make a fool out of himself. She is as bad as Pelosi
