WWE legend Ric Flair is reassuring fans that he will be okay after a frightening fall outside a Florida restaurant sent him to the hospital with facial injuries, just hours after he revealed he was dealing with a potentially dangerous blood clot.
The 77-year-old wrestling icon shared a new photograph Saturday, October 24, showing himself resting at home with a large medical patch covering his right eye.
The image immediately caught the attention of concerned fans, who had been anxiously awaiting news about the Hall of Famer’s condition following Friday’s accident in Tampa.

Fortunately, Flair had some encouraging news.
“I am focused on my healing and recovery right now. I will be okay!” he wrote in a social media update.
Flair also thanked the doctors and nurses at Tampa General Hospital, revealing that medical personnel cared for him until approximately 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
He expressed gratitude for the messages and prayers he had received, promising to respond to supporters as he regained his strength.
The update came after a frightening incident outside Wagamama, a restaurant in Tampa, on Friday morning.
According to TMZ, Flair had been inside the restaurant before getting up, leaving his phone and drink behind, and walking across the street.
Moments later, he suddenly fell, striking his head and injuring the area around his right eye.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where Flair was photographed receiving medical attention before being transported to a hospital by ambulance.
The fall reportedly caused significant bleeding around his eye, although the wrestling legend has not publicly disclosed the full extent of his injuries.
The circumstances were particularly concerning because Flair had revealed another serious health problem earlier that same day.
In a lengthy message to fans, the former world champion announced that he was canceling an upcoming appearance at a convention in Seattle because doctors had discovered a blood clot in his leg.
Flair explained that his medical team had restricted him from traveling longer than three or four hours, making the trip across the country impossible.
He acknowledged that he was disappointed to miss the event but emphasized that protecting his health had to come first.
The wrestling veteran also revealed plans to undergo a medical procedure involving the affected vein, which he hopes will allow him to resume his travel schedule.
Doctors have not publicly linked the blood clot to Friday’s fall, and the cause of the accident remains unclear.
As photographs of Flair receiving emergency treatment circulated online, his daughter, WWE superstar Charlotte Flair, stepped in to reassure worried fans.
Charlotte shared a humorous account of her father’s conversation with doctors, revealing that he had joked about an old wrestling rival.
According to Charlotte, Flair told medical personnel he had fallen because The Ultimate Warrior had dropped him on his head.
She quickly added that her father was going to be okay.
The joke offered a glimpse of the personality that made Flair one of professional wrestling’s most recognizable stars.
Known as “The Nature Boy,” Flair spent decades entertaining audiences with his flamboyant outfits, larger-than-life confidence and famous “Woo!” catchphrase.
A two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee, he remains one of wrestling’s most celebrated performers, even years after retiring from full-time competition.
But the legendary entertainer has also faced several serious health challenges.
In 2017, Flair nearly died after suffering a major medical emergency involving an intestinal rupture and organ complications. He spent time in a medically induced coma before eventually recovering.
More recently, he revealed in June 2025 that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time in three years. The following month, he announced that he was cancer-free.
Despite those setbacks, Flair has continued making appearances at wrestling conventions and entertainment events, regularly connecting with longtime fans.
His latest hospitalization has temporarily interrupted those plans, but Saturday’s update suggests he is determined to recover and return to his usual activities when medically cleared.
Flair also addressed an unrelated social media issue, telling fans that he no longer controls his Facebook page and apologizing for posts made there while he was hospitalized.
For now, however, his attention remains on recovering from the fall and following medical advice about the blood clot.
Although the photograph of his bandaged eye was a concerning sight for fans, the wrestling icon’s message was reassuring.
After another unexpected health scare, Flair is back home, grateful for the support he has received and confident that better days are ahead.
