Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) didn’t hold back on Sunday, tearing into Donald Trump’s latest attempts to sow doubt about election integrity in Pennsylvania.
Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash, Fetterman took Trump’s accusations head-on, calling them an act of “desperation.”
“It’s the same sh-t he played in ’20, and it didn’t go anywhere,” Fetterman told Bash, scoffing at Trump’s claims that voters in Pennsylvania were “CHEATING BIG.”
Fetterman’s blunt dismissal of Trump’s accusations comes at a high-stakes moment; recent polling by The New York Times/Siena College reveals a dead heat between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania, underscoring the state’s pivotal role in 2024.
One Case of Fraud—From Trump’s Side
As Trump raises alarms about supposed voter fraud, Fetterman pointed to the actual documented case from 2020: “The only fraud we found was a guy who filled out his dead mother’s ballot—for Trump,” Fetterman reminded viewers. “He admitted he’d been listening to too much propaganda,” Fetterman said, highlighting that the man’s actions were fueled by the same baseless claims Trump is now recycling.
“It’s a sad, sad story he’s dragging back from the dead,” Fetterman said, emphasizing that in 2024, “there’s no voter fraud.”
“Biden Beat Him by 80,000 Votes”
Fetterman wasn’t done underscoring Trump’s defeat in Pennsylvania. “Joe Biden wrecked his sh-t by 80,000 votes in 2020,” he said, adding that Trump’s claims are part of an ongoing effort to avoid facing reality. “He’s going to keep trying to lie, keep making baseless accusations, but Pennsylvania’s been clear: we rejected him then, and we’ll reject him again.”
Though Fetterman anticipates another close race in Pennsylvania, he expressed confidence in a victory for Harris in 2024, saying, “We’re about to have a new team leading America.”
Calls Out Trump’s “Bankrupt” Attacks on Trans Youth
Fetterman also condemned Trump’s campaign ads, which target transgender individuals and LGBTQ+ youth. In his view, the attacks show Trump’s dwindling “political capital.”
“It doesn’t make you tough,” Fetterman declared. “It doesn’t make you a man to pick on trans or gay kids. It just makes you an a–hole.”
With his no-nonsense approach, Fetterman is pushing back against Trump’s narrative and aiming to keep Pennsylvania a key battleground—one where he believes voters will once again reject Trump’s “sad” claims and divisive tactics.

I’m not sure how he can say that Harris is new leadership. She has said many times that she wouldn’t have done anything differently. She has been more involved than most vice presidents with the tie breaking votes and Joe’s dementia that she only tries to use against Trump who isn’t showing any.
