Daniel Penny Joins Trump, Vance At Sporting Event

Marine veteran Daniel Penny, recently acquitted in the high-profile manslaughter case involving Jordan Neely, received a hero’s welcome on Saturday at the annual Army-Navy football game. Invited as a personal guest of Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, Penny joined President-elect Donald Trump and other prominent figures in a luxury suite at Northwest Stadium in Maryland.

The 26-year-old Long Island native stood alongside leaders like Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth and Intelligence Director nominee Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard called Penny a symbol of American courage, stating, “Standing alongside Daniel was special… He embodies the spirit of service both in and out of uniform.” Trump, greeting Penny with a handshake and photos, led chants of “USA! USA!” from the crowd, cementing the Marine’s status as a celebrated figure.

Penny’s legal team, who had been by his side during his recent acquittal, said the Marine is looking forward to rebuilding his life. “This is a victory for Daniel,” said his attorney, Thomas Kenniff. “But the damage done to him by false accusations won’t disappear overnight.”

The Navy secured a decisive 31-13 win at the storied rivalry game, but for Penny, the day represented more than just football—it was a moment of recognition and resilience following months of legal and public scrutiny.
