Hillary Clinton Advisor Skewers Biden

As President Joe Biden prepares to leave office, opinions on his legacy are sharply divided, with supporters highlighting his achievements and critics focusing on his perceived failures. Former Hillary Clinton adviser and CNN contributor Karen Finney sparked a heated debate Sunday during her appearance on CNN’s State of the Union.

Finney defended Biden’s record, arguing that his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his domestic policy initiatives would stand the test of time.

“In the longer term, we will remember this as a presidency that brought us back from the brink during COVID,” Finney said. “Hundreds of thousands were dying daily, businesses were collapsing, and he helped deliver vaccines, get us back to work, and invest in the country.”

She pointed to the Chips and Science Act as a transformative piece of legislation that will have lasting effects. “I think Donald Trump will try to take credit for it, but Biden’s record will speak for itself,” she added.

Critics Challenge the Narrative

However, conservative panelist Scott Jennings was quick to counter Finney’s praise, arguing that Biden’s presidency would be remembered for its failures rather than its successes.

“He’s leaving office in disgrace,” Jennings said. “The Hunter Biden pardon was a stain on his legacy. Inflation soared under his watch, and the Afghanistan withdrawal was a catastrophe. And let’s not forget the cover-up of his mental acuity—this diminished presidency will be a dark chapter in American history.”

Concerns Over Biden’s Health

The president’s health has also come under scrutiny in recent months. Finney acknowledged the issue, calling it “disturbing” to learn how serious his condition had become.

“But,” she argued, “he showed up for the job and got the work done. His accomplishments in the Middle East and foreign policy will also be remembered.”

Jennings dismissed this claim, taking aim at what he called the administration’s attempts to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline. “The efforts by his staff and family to hide this for four years—it’s an ugly, shameful chapter,” he said.

Poll Numbers Paint a Grim Picture

Public opinion appears to reflect Jennings’ critique. A recent Fox News poll found Biden’s approval rating at just 41%, with only 7% of respondents viewing him as “one of the greatest” presidents.

A Marquette Law School poll conducted earlier this month delivered an even harsher verdict, with Biden’s approval plummeting to a record low of 34%.

As Biden prepares to leave the White House, the debate over his legacy continues to rage. Will history remember him as a steady leader in turbulent times, or as a president whose tenure was marked by missteps and controversy? For now, the verdict remains split.

  1. The only thing Trump or Biden can take credit for during the “pandemic” period, is one thing–and that was Trump. Under his administration, RMD’s were waived for 2020. That helped a few million retirees who live modestly enough to not need money from their IRAs and only draw what the law forces them to take and pay taxes on, while moving the remainder after tax to a fully taxable investment account.

Nothing else the federal government did was truly beneficial to anyone except people in government.

  2. Biden spent 40% of his time on vacation. He accomplished nothing and in my opinion he 2020 election was rigged.

  3. Nothing new here, excrement always sticks to excrement; it simply loves the stench.
