Trump Plans To Use Military To Deport Migrants

President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to make immigration enforcement his administration’s defining mission, declaring plans for a “national emergency” to enable the use of military assets in a mass deportation operation.

Trump confirmed the announcement on Truth Social by responding “TRUE!!!” to a post from Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, who claimed the incoming administration is preparing to launch an unprecedented crackdown on illegal immigration.

“GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonaldTrump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program,” Fitton wrote.

Trump has promised swift action after his inauguration on January 20, describing the initiative as “the largest deportation in history.”

Legal Challenges Loom

While Trump’s declaration has thrilled his supporters, critics warn it could spark significant legal battles. The 1878 Posse Comitatus Act restricts the use of active-duty military personnel in domestic law enforcement, though it does not prohibit National Guard troops under state authority.

Trump has also suggested invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which allows for the detention and removal of foreign nationals deemed a threat during wartime. However, the act requires Congress to declare war, raising questions about whether Trump might target a specific nation—such as Venezuela—to justify its use.

The New York Post reported that Trump’s legal strategies may include cutting federal funds to sanctuary cities and states that resist cooperation with immigration enforcement.

New “Border Czar” Takes the Helm

To spearhead his aggressive immigration agenda, Trump has appointed former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting director Tom Homan as the new “border czar.” Homan will oversee coordination between federal agencies to secure both southern and northern borders.

Homan has made it clear that no sanctuary city will be exempt from the administration’s plans. “I’ve been clear. President Trump’s been clear. Public safety threats and national security threats will be the priority because they have to be—they pose the most danger in this country,” Homan said during a recent Fox & Friends interview.

Homan also emphasized the administration’s readiness to take legal action against noncompliant jurisdictions. “If they’re not willing to do it, then get out of the way—we’re coming,” he told The Post.

Day One: A Return to Trump-Era Policies

Trump’s incoming White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, described the election results as a mandate to implement Trump’s campaign promises immediately.

“The American people delivered a resounding victory for President Trump, and it gives him a mandate to govern as he campaigned,” Leavitt said, outlining priorities for the first day in office.

“These include launching the largest mass deportation operation of illegal immigrants that Kamala Harris has allowed into this country, expediting permits for energy projects, and bringing Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table to end the war,” she added.

Trump adviser Jason Miller echoed the urgency of reinstating policies from Trump’s previous administration. “All we have to do with regard to the border is put his policies back in place,” Miller said. “We can secure it and start making the country much more safe.”

Preparing for the Long Term

Beyond immediate executive actions, Trump’s team has hinted at plans to solidify border policies through legislation. With a potentially Republican-controlled Congress, advisers are eyeing laws that would prevent future administrations from undoing Trump’s immigration framework.

As the clock ticks toward inauguration day, Trump’s bold immigration agenda signals a return to his signature “America First” policies, setting the stage for what promises to be a contentious start to his second term.

  1. Deportation by Military is appropriate. This was a invasion by traitorous democrats. Once they are tried and convicted. It is Militaries responsibility to transport them to GITMO.
