Donald Trump Slams ‘Crying’ Liz Cheney

Former President Donald Trump wasted no time targeting Joe Biden’s last-minute pardons of key figures from the January 6th committee, including Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. In his first remarks since returning to the White House, Trump vowed justice for what he called the ‘J6 hostages.’

“Liz Cheney is a crying lunatic,” Trump declared during a fiery address at the Capitol on Monday. “She’s a disaster—crying, crying all the time. And why is Joe Biden helping her? It’s ridiculous.”

The pardons, issued in Biden’s final hours as president, also extended to former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley and Dr. Anthony Fauci, who were criticized heavily by Republicans for their roles during the Trump presidency.

Biden defended his decision, saying, “These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction. They do not deserve politically motivated prosecutions.” However, Republican leaders see the move differently.

“This is an admission of guilt,” said Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN). “It proves they know the January 6th investigation was corrupt from the start.”

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) didn’t hold back, calling Biden’s pardons “the ultimate cover-up.” He added, “This seals his legacy as one of corruption and total betrayal of American principles.”

The pardons, which shield those involved in the investigation from future prosecution, cannot be overturned by the incoming administration.

Trump signaled his plans to counteract what he called a “disgraceful abuse of power.” Addressing the crowd, he said, “It’s not about words—it’s about action. You’re going to see a lot of action for the J6 hostages. They’ve been treated unfairly.”

His remarks referred to individuals prosecuted in connection with the January 6th Capitol riots, many of whom Trump and his allies have portrayed as political prisoners.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who led the GOP counter-investigation into the January 6th committee, linked the pardons to Republican efforts. “This is a direct result of our investigation exposing their corruption,” he said.

Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, two of the most vocal Republican critics of Trump, defended their actions. In a joint statement, they claimed the pardons were necessary. “We’ve faced harassment, lies, and threats of violence simply for doing our jobs. These pardons protect us from politically motivated prosecutions.”

The pair framed their roles on the January 6th committee as a defense of democracy, arguing they exposed what they described as a “months-long criminal conspiracy to override the will of the voters.”

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) described the pardoned officials’ behavior as “unlawful and deceitful,” accusing Biden of shielding his allies from accountability. “The American people deserve justice,” he said.

The controversy surrounding Biden’s pardons has only intensified as Trump regains his footing in the White House. “This is disgraceful,” Trump wrote in a text to NBC’s Kristen Welker. “Many of them are guilty of major crimes!”

With Trump back in office, Republican leaders are gearing up to revisit investigations into the events surrounding January 6th. Allies have signaled they won’t let Biden’s final actions go unanswered.

As Trump said in closing, “This isn’t the end. It’s the beginning of setting things right for America.”

  1. The lack of respect for people, women and children, by trumps over and over proven actions (rape and pedofilia) should give you an idea he’s got no morals no character and he surely doesn’t give a rats ass for anyone not from this country. He’s going to try and “prove” he’s got power by putting those who speak out against his nonsense into prison. Be wary – you might be removed from this country because of your name!! He’s that stupid. For sure circus is at the White House

  2. It is one thing to pardon people who have actually been charged and found guilty, sometimes wrongly. It seems to be something different to pardon someone who have not been charged of anything because the president believes that they will be charged. It seem that the charge should be spelled out so that they are not just immune from all charges in the future. I wonder if these pardons for future charges will stand. Trump claimed that he and his advisors had executive privilege, but Biden said that they didn’t after the fact. Can one president take away a previous president’s privilege. If so, let the games with Biden begin.
