Investigation into Leak of ICE Raid to Gang Close to Finding Suspect

Federal authorities are closing in on the source of leaked information that compromised a major Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Aurora, Colorado. Tom Homan, former acting ICE director and President Trump’s border czar, has pointed the finger at internal sources, with the FBI under heightened scrutiny.

“We know these leaks are coming from inside, and we believe we’re close to identifying the person responsible,” Homan said in an interview on Hannity Monday night. “These aren’t just harmless leaks. They put our officers in real danger. It’s a betrayal.”

Leaked Raids Help Violent Criminals Escape

The leaked details tipped off members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TDA), allowing key targets to evade capture. Agents, expecting to apprehend dozens of gang members, instead found mostly empty apartments and abandoned hideouts. Thirty individuals were still arrested, but the operation was significantly undermined.

Law enforcement officials describe TDA as one of the most dangerous criminal organizations operating in the U.S., involved in drug trafficking, human smuggling, and violent assaults. “This gang preys on our communities, and someone inside the government is helping them,” Homan warned. “It’s unacceptable.”

‘This Puts Officers’ Lives at Risk’

Homan emphasized the gravity of the leaks. “It’s not just that criminals are getting away. It’s that our officers are walking into potentially deadly situations, completely blind. We can’t have that.”

Reports indicate that a separate ICE operation in Los Angeles also suffered from leaked plans. An internal memo detailing a large-scale raid targeting individuals with removal orders was made public before agents could act. This has raised further concerns about internal sabotage at federal agencies.

DHS Secretary Noem: ‘FBI Corruption at Play’

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t hold back in her criticism of the FBI. “The corruption runs deep,” Noem posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “We will find those responsible for these leaks and hold them accountable. The Deep State is alive and well, but we’re going to root them out.”

Homan echoed her sentiments, confirming that the Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation. “We’ve been in contact with the Deputy Attorney General. Whoever is behind this won’t just lose their job—they’re going to prison.”

Attorney General Bondi: ‘We Will Come After You’

Attorney General Pam Bondi reinforced the administration’s hardline stance. “Leaking sensitive law enforcement operations is beyond reckless—it’s criminal,” Bondi said on Fox Report Sunday. “We are fully committed to ensuring those responsible are held accountable. If you leaked this information, we will find you.”

The Trump administration has expanded its immigration enforcement efforts, increasing ICE manpower in sanctuary cities and enlisting the Federal Bureau of Prisons to house detainees. Plans to transfer additional illegal immigrants to Guantánamo Bay are already in motion, with capacity expected to grow to 30,000 detainees.

Despite recent setbacks, Homan made it clear that ICE’s efforts won’t be stopped. “We’re doubling down. If we can’t get them in their homes, we’ll get them at work. Sanctuary cities have made it clear that they’re sanctuaries for criminals. We’re not backing down.”

  1. I get emails that are very red (politically). When I respond with a favorable conservative viewpoint, it is declined. What\’s going on?

  2. The leaker(s) must do extended prison time. No “buts”, just do the correct thing! That time must be served in Leavenworth.

  3. Find him, her, “it”, or them and then prosecute whoever was involved. No more of the little slap on the wrist and simple dismissal.
