Country music star and longtime conservative voice Jason Aldean has given a resounding endorsement of Donald Trump’s first month back in the White House, affirming that the president is fulfilling the promises that won him re-election.
Aldean, a five-time Grammy nominee and the artist behind the hit song “Try That in a Small Town,” made his remarks during an Instagram Q&A, where he fielded questions about Trump’s early performance in his second term.
‘He’s Doing What He Said He’d Do’
The country singer, who performed at Trump’s 2017 Inauguration Ball, expressed enthusiasm about the administration’s direction.
“I’m actually excited, honestly,” Aldean said. “Obviously, you guys know we’ve been fans of his for a long time, and he’s doing, I think, what a lot of us hoped he would. He’s following through on his word.”
Aldean specifically highlighted Trump’s economic policies, praising the administration’s swift efforts to curb wasteful spending and reduce the financial burden on hardworking taxpayers. “I think at the end of the day, it seems he’s going to save taxpayers a lot of money, he’s saving a ton of our tax dollars that were going to waste,” he said.
His wife, Brittany Aldean, echoed his sentiments, particularly on the issue of border security. “This is what I voted for,” she stated confidently.
Backing Trump’s Cabinet and Elon Musk’s Role
Aldean also commented on the influence of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, who has been advising the Trump administration on government spending reform.
“I watched his whole speech… I thought it was amazing,” Aldean said. “He, to me, is coming in and doing everything he said he was going to do—he’s cutting the fat and getting America back on the right track.”
Musk has made headlines for his involvement in federal budget restructuring, championing efficiency and cost-cutting initiatives under the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). While critics have accused the administration of being overly aggressive in slashing programs, supporters argue that these measures are necessary to restore fiscal responsibility.
Brittany Aldean added that since Trump’s return to office, she feels more at ease about the nation’s direction. “I sleep way better at night,” she said.
Defending ‘Try That in a Small Town’ and the Values of Country Music
Jason Aldean has long been an outspoken defender of conservative values in country music. His song “Try That in a Small Town” became a lightning rod for political debate in 2023, with critics claiming it promoted divisive themes. The music video, which featured footage of protests and was filmed outside a historic courthouse, was pulled from Country Music Television’s rotation amid left-wing backlash.
Aldean has never backed down from defending his work. “Country music is blue-collar music, man, it’s for the everyman,” he said in an interview on Coop’s Rockin’ Country Saturday Night podcast. “I’ve got eyes, I can see what’s going on. I don’t care which side of the political fence you want to stand on.”
Despite media criticism, the song resonated deeply with rural and working-class Americans who saw it as a reflection of their values—community, self-reliance, and standing up for what’s right. Its success in conservative circles cemented Aldean as a cultural icon for those who feel overlooked by mainstream entertainment.
A Voice for Rural America
Aldean’s support of Trump is no surprise given his advocacy for traditional values and American resilience. With an audience that leans heavily conservative, his words carry weight in a time when political division runs deep in the entertainment industry. As Trump’s administration continues to roll out its policies, Aldean and his fans will no doubt be watching closely, hopeful that the president will continue to deliver on his promises.
For now, one thing is certain—Jason Aldean remains a steadfast supporter of Trump’s vision for America, and he’s not afraid to say it.

Is he out of his mind? If not, he’s definitely ignorant about the issues Trump is causing – serious issues that can cause loss of life and Democracy itself. Be careful of what you wish for. Patricia
