GOP Unveils Biden’s Government-Funded ‘Vast Censorship Enterprise’

Washington, D.C. — A bombshell Senate hearing is set to shake Washington this Tuesday, exposing what Sen. Eric Schmitt is calling “the largest censorship operation in American history.” At the center of it all: Joe Biden’s administration, a tangled web of federal agencies, and left-wing non-profits allegedly colluding to silence conservative voices online — all under the guise of “misinformation.”

“The Biden White House built a censorship regime that would make Orwell blush,” Sen. Schmitt (R-MO) told reporters ahead of the hearing. “This wasn’t just Big Government overreach. It was a coordinated campaign to erase views they didn’t like — mostly from conservatives — using taxpayer dollars to do it.”

Schmitt’s Case Against the Biden Regime

As the new chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Schmitt is turning up the heat. His first hearing will examine how non-governmental organizations (NGOs) — funded by billions in federal grants — worked hand-in-hand with Biden’s bureaucrats to pressure social media giants into scrubbing dissent.

“This was a direct assault on the First Amendment,” Schmitt said. “From Facebook flagging posts at the White House’s request to federal agencies leaning on Twitter to bury political opinions, the evidence is overwhelming. The American people deserve answers.”

Schmitt knows the case better than most. Back in 2022, while serving as Missouri’s attorney general, he partnered with then-Louisiana AG (now Governor) Jeff Landry to file Missouri v. Biden, a landmark lawsuit that pulled back the curtain on the censorship-industrial complex.

“The emails, the coordination, the reporting portals — it was all there,” Schmitt added. “We caught them red-handed.”

The Censorship Web: NGOs, Big Tech, and Biden Bureaucrats

The Senate hearing will spotlight key players in the censorship machine — including the Stanford Internet Observatory, the Election Integrity Partnership, and the Virality Project — which were flagged in court documents for pushing social media companies to suppress protected speech.

One federal judge, Terry Doughty, slammed the collaboration as “viewpoint discrimination,” noting that the flagged content overwhelmingly came from right-leaning users, media outlets, and elected officials.

“This wasn’t about stopping lies,” said Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who’s been vocal about the issue. “It was about crushing political opposition. Biden shouldn’t be anywhere near our state secrets if this is how he runs an administration.”

Supreme Court Fumbles Free Speech Battle

Despite strong evidence, the Supreme Court declined in a 6-3 decision last year to fully block the administration from influencing tech platforms. The case — Murthy v. Missouri — was a setback for First Amendment defenders.

Critics of the ruling were blunt.

“In the name of fighting ‘misinformation,’ Biden’s team suppressed legitimate science, censored critics of vaccine mandates, and shut down debate,” said Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya, a Stanford professor and Biden-era COVID policy whistleblower. “This isn’t just bad policy — it’s authoritarian.”

Bhattacharya, now a nominee for NIH director under a possible future Trump administration, called for Congress to act: “The courts won’t protect your speech. Congress must.”

Big Tech Bent the Knee

Internal emails from Facebook executives, uncovered in a sweeping 800-page House Judiciary report last year, show the extent of the pressure campaign.

In one July 2021 email, Facebook execs discussed pulling down vaccine jokes and memes. The reason? “Because we were under pressure from the [Biden] administration and others to do more… We shouldn’t have done it.”

Facebook wasn’t alone. Amazon and others reportedly caved to similar pressure, especially when Biden staffers demanded takedowns of content that was “negative,” “critical,” or even “humorous” about COVID-19 vaccines.

“This was state-sponsored censorship with a smile,” said Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), who has also pressed the issue. “It’s no different than what you’d see in China — only they were polite about it.”

Trump Allies Mobilize

All eyes are now on Tuesday’s hearing. Sources close to President Trump say he’s monitoring the proceedings closely and may soon unveil a legislative plan to hold NGOs and tech execs accountable — including possible defunding and criminal referrals.

“Trump has always believed in free speech — especially when the Deep State doesn’t like it,” one senior Trump advisor told us. “This is just the beginning. Come January 2025, we’re going scorched earth.”

The hearing begins Tuesday at 2:00 PM ET and is expected to feature fiery testimony, newly released evidence, and possibly fresh subpoenas.

For Americans who value freedom of expression, this may be the most important showdown yet.

Stay tuned.
