AOC Slammed for Jetting in Luxury to Preach Against ‘Oligarchy’

It’s hard to fight the oligarchy from 30,000 feet—unless you’re sipping mimosa in first class.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a self-declared democratic socialist and outspoken critic of income inequality, was spotted flying in style last month aboard JetBlue Flight 511 from JFK to Las Vegas. Her destination? A Bernie Sanders rally titled “Fighting Oligarchy.”

The irony wasn’t lost on fellow passengers.

“She walked right past regular folks without a word,” said Tracey, a Brooklyn native who took the photo that’s now circulating online. “Then she reclined back in first class like she was heading to the Met Gala, not a rally about inequality. AOC’s fighting the system one first-class mimosa at a time.”

Champagne and Climate Change?

While the average American is scraping by under high inflation, AOC’s first-class ticket likely ran over $1,100, based on current fares. First-class air travel is also under fire by climate activists — you know, the same crowd AOC rallies with.

“She’s the loudest voice in the room on climate,” said State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar. “And yet she’s flying in seats that burn more fuel and emit more CO₂ than the average American could afford in a month.”

“It’s hypocrisy on full display,” Kassar added. “You can’t fight for the working class while living like an elite.”

Silence from Team AOC

Neither AOC’s office nor her campaign responded to requests for comment. But critics on both sides of the aisle aren’t waiting.

“Socialists are hypocrites. I’m honestly surprised she didn’t take a private jet like her Hollywood buddies,” quipped Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY). “They want us to believe the rich are the problem—unless, apparently, it’s them.”

Rallying for the Poor—From a Podium of Privilege

Ocasio-Cortez joined Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on March 20 at Arizona State University and in North Las Vegas the day before. The message was classic left-wing populism: tear down the rich, empower the people.

“We need a Democratic Party that actually fights for us,” AOC declared. “We’re going to throw these bums out!”

But some in her own party aren’t buying it.

Last month, AOC blasted Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for backing a Republican-led funding bill, calling it a “betrayal.” Now, whispers are growing louder about a possible 2028 primary challenge—AOC vs. Schumer.

“It’s no longer about Republicans versus Democrats,” said GOP strategist Mark Hughes. “It’s about elites versus everyone else. And AOC has shown us exactly which team she’s on.”

Meanwhile, Trump Acts

The Sanders-AOC rallies were billed as a grassroots fight against wealth and power. But the real shake-up, many say, is happening in D.C.—where President Trump and Government Efficiency Director Elon Musk continue to dismantle bureaucracy and push bold reforms.

“They’re getting things done,” said Hughes. “While AOC’s preaching socialism from first class, Trump’s rebuilding America from the ground up.”

Bottom Line: You can’t fight the rich while flying like them. AOC’s luxury lifestyle is catching up with her rhetoric—and voters are noticing.
