Democratic Congresswoman Goes on Bizarre Race-Baiting Rant

In yet another stunning display of radical rhetoric, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), a loud voice from the far-left fringe of Congress, told churchgoers that America needs illegal immigrants because, in her words, “we done picking cotton.”

The remark—delivered from the pulpit of Grace Baptist Church in Connecticut during its 125th anniversary celebration—has triggered a political firestorm and renewed calls for her censure in the House.

“You can’t pay us enough to find a plantation,” Crockett said, shrugging off the stunned silence in the room. “We are done picking cotton!”

Crockett, a member of the ultra-progressive “Squad,” made the comment as part of a tirade against former President Donald Trump’s strong stance on illegal immigration. She accused Americans of being unwilling to do “immigrant jobs,” as she glossed over the rule of law and the economic costs of unchecked migration.

But it didn’t stop there.

A Pattern of Disrespect

This isn’t Crockett’s first brush with controversy—or contempt for basic decency. Texans still remember when she mocked Governor Greg Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, referring to him as “Governor Hot Wheels.”

While she tried to walk back the insult, the record speaks for itself. In one social media post, she wrote:

“Rolling up to the White House to cheer on the president destroying the agency that makes sure kids in wheelchairs have equal access to education is wild.”

Crockett has repeatedly doubled down on mocking Gov. Abbott’s disability, with quips like, “Where is Abbott rolling to?” during his 2022 campaign against Democrat Beto O’Rourke.

Political strategist and Texas native Greg McCallister told Patriot News:

“This woman’s contempt for conservatives, for decency, and for our institutions is not just troubling—it’s dangerous. If a Republican said half of what she’s said, they’d be canceled instantly.”

Inciting Hate, Celebrating Division

Crockett is also under fire for encouraging violence, joking that she wanted Elon Musk “taken down” for her birthday. That offhand comment came just days before a wave of vandalism and violent attacks targeted Tesla facilities and vehicles.

“She needs to immediately apologize and denounce this rhetoric,” said former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi on Hannity. “She’s inciting real-world violence. Words have consequences.”

Crockett’s defenders claim her remarks are misunderstood, but critics say her record reveals a consistent pattern: race-baiting, threats, and a deep hostility toward Republicans—especially those close to Trump.

She’s taken shots at Sen. Ted Cruz, saying he should be “knocked over the head.” She’s smeared Florida GOP Rep. Byron Donalds, a rising Black conservative, by attacking his interracial marriage and mocking him with racist tropes.

“He’s like, ‘Yes massa. I got it,’” she said on The Breakfast Club, suggesting Donalds doesn’t understand history and is “whitewashed” because of his wife.

Facing the Consequences

A censure resolution—introduced by Rep. Randy Weber (R-Texas)—is currently under review by the House Ethics Committee. Sources close to the committee say the resolution is gaining traction as Crockett’s string of inflammatory remarks draws national backlash.

“This is no longer about gaffes,” said Rep. Weber. “This is about whether the House will stand for decency or reward hatred.”

Despite multiple requests for comment, Crockett’s office has remained silent.
