Desperate Democrats Force Trump Impeachment Vote

In a move that’s already being panned as political theater, House Democrat Shri Thanedar introduced a surprise impeachment resolution Tuesday against President Donald Trump—right as the Commander-in-Chief is leading a major diplomatic mission in the Middle East.

Thanedar, a freshman Democrat from Michigan, filed the resolution as “privileged,” forcing House leaders to address it within two legislative days. The move, while technically procedural, reeks of partisan posturing and has drawn immediate backlash—even from within his own party.

“Donald Trump has unlawfully conducted himself,” Thanedar claimed on the House floor, accusing the president of everything from tyranny to bribery—charges critics say are ripped from the Democratic Party’s worn-out playbook.

This is the second time Thanedar has tried to impeach Trump. He introduced seven articles in April, but the effort flopped—so much so that four Democrats originally listed as co-sponsors quickly withdrew their support, claiming they were added by mistake.

White House spokeswoman Liz Huston responded sharply to the news.

“Every action taken by President Trump and his administration is fully lawful and firmly rooted in the will of the American people,” she said in a statement. “This impeachment stunt is yet another example of Democrats prioritizing illegal immigrants and chaos over law-abiding citizens and national security.”

President Trump, meanwhile, was unfazed. Speaking in Riyadh just hours after the resolution was filed, Trump delivered a thunderous address warning Iran to abandon its nuclear program or “face the full weight of American resolve.”

The optics couldn’t be more telling: while the president projects strength abroad, Democrats are staging another circus at home.

“It’s a disgrace,” Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., told reporters. “The American people didn’t vote for more impeachments. They voted for a strong border, booming economy, and no more nonsense from the radical left.”

With the 2026 midterms looming, Thanedar’s gambit could backfire spectacularly. Vulnerable Democrats now face a no-win vote that risks alienating moderates and energizing Trump’s base.

“The far-left fringe is steering the ship again,” said Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y. “This is not about justice. It’s about desperation.”

Adding to the absurdity, Thanedar also attacked Trump’s newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), labeling it “unconstitutional.” But for millions of Americans who’ve welcomed DOGE’s crackdown on wasteful spending and bloated bureaucracy, Thanedar’s comment read like satire.

This latest stunt follows threats from fellow Democrat Rep. Al Green of Texas, who has a history of impeachment theatrics. Green was famously ejected from Trump’s joint congressional address earlier this year after disrupting the speech with protest shouts.

This resolution is going nowhere. With zero Republican support and a fractured Democratic caucus, the measure is dead on arrival. What it does show, however, is that while President Trump handles business abroad, the left remains fixated on re-litigating the past.

The American people have made their choice. Trump is back in the White House, delivering results. And no amount of empty resolutions will change that.

  1. Congressmen like this should be thrown out of office post haste for their treasonous actions toward our good president! He is a traitor to our republic!

  2. Tranader & Jasmine sounds like a good match, young and not too bright trying to make a name for themselves. They succeeded, but not the name they hoped for;

  3. This criminal’s recent history should be published for all to read. Then again during primaries next year. Once his constituents know what subhuman he is, they’ll take him out.
