NFL Star Involved in Brawl Outside Event as Gun Shots Heard

Former NFL star Antonio Brown is once again at the center of a firestorm — this time after a violent street brawl outside a boxing event in Miami ended with chaos, confusion, and the sound of gunfire.

The explosive altercation unfolded around midnight on Friday as Brown exited the Brand Risk celebrity boxing event hosted by internet streamer Adin Ross. Multiple videos flooding social media show Brown scuffling with several men on the sidewalk. One video shows Brown falling to the ground, then rising and kicking another man — reportedly a member of the venue’s security detail.

Just moments later, several loud bangs ring out on the footage, sending people scattering. Bystanders can be heard yelling, “Shots fired!” as panic erupts in the crowd.

Brown Detained, But Not Arrested

Miami Police confirmed they received a 3 a.m. alert from ShotSpotter gun detection technology. They are investigating the incident, but say no injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

Antonio Brown was briefly detained by police on scene, as seen in viral footage of the ex-NFL wide receiver in handcuffs. But according to Brown, the officers simply needed to hear his version of events.

“I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me,” Brown posted on X early Saturday. “Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me.”

“I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED,” he emphasized. “I will be talking to my legal counsel and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me.”

Back Online After the Brawl

Just hours after the dust-up, Brown reappeared on Adin Ross’ livestream — shirtless, mumbling, and clearly shaken. When Ross asked if he wanted to do “story time,” Brown walked off camera, dropping the mic.

When pressed about the street fight, Brown dismissed the episode, muttering “nothing happened” and claiming he had “blacked out.”

A Familiar Face in Headlines

The 36-year-old Brown has made more noise online than on the field since exiting the NFL in 2021. The former Steelers, Patriots, and Buccaneers receiver has posted a string of erratic messages, including swipes at music megastar Taylor Swift and college basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

In February, he stirred controversy by posting an intimate photo allegedly sent by R&B singer Keyshia Cole — further fueling his reputation for drama and instability.

More Questions Than Answers

The Miami Police Department continues to investigate the Friday night incident. Brown has not been charged, and no official suspects have been named in what he says was a robbery attempt.

For now, Brown says he’s lawyering up and planning legal action.

“This isn’t over,” one close source told us. “Antonio feels targeted — and he wants accountability.”

Developing story.
