A Georgia courtroom erupted in chaos Thursday when convicted killer Taco Nash spit at prosecutors just moments after being sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars for the cold-blooded murder of his child’s mother outside a daycare center.
The outburst came after DeKalb County Judge Brian Lake handed Nash, 25, three consecutive life sentences and an additional 60 years for the June 2022 execution of 22-year-old Mi’ckeya Montgomery — a young mother shot in the head while holding her infant daughter.
Courtroom deputies were forced to physically carry Nash out after he launched saliva toward the prosecution team that had secured his conviction, according to WSBTV footage.
“This was the real him — the facade is gone,” said Montgomery’s aunt, Jasmine Walters. “He’s a sociopath who tore our family apart.”
Nash and Montgomery had a deeply toxic relationship marred by violent confrontations and court-ordered no-contact orders. The couple shared an 18-month-old daughter, and Montgomery had been granted full custody following numerous troubling incidents.
On the morning of June 15, 2022, Nash repeatedly called Montgomery, demanding she return his belongings — a direct violation of the court’s mandate.
Montgomery ignored him and made her routine trip to pick up her daughter from Education Elevation Childcare Academy, located just off I-20 in Decatur.
But Nash was already waiting.
According to testimony and security footage, Nash ambushed Montgomery outside the daycare. Staff, aware of the restraining order, scrambled to protect the young mother, rushing her and the toddler inside and immediately dialing 911.
But Nash forced his way in, brandishing a firearm and threatening to kill Montgomery if she didn’t leave with him. Under duress, she complied. The trio exited out a rear door, disappearing into the wooded area behind the building.
Moments later, employees reported hearing a scream followed by a gunshot.
When police arrived, Nash emerged from the woods holding the baby — drenched in her mother’s blood. He was no longer armed.
According to DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston, Nash immediately called one of Montgomery’s relatives and confessed: “I’m sorry. I shot her.”
Montgomery’s body was later found on the forest floor with a single gunshot wound to the head. The gun had been placed beneath her hand in what authorities described as a staged suicide attempt. But forensic experts concluded the trajectory of the bullet made it physically impossible for her to have fired the weapon herself.
Miraculously, the child survived unharmed — physically.
On July 2, a jury found Nash guilty on a staggering 13 charges, including:
- Malice Murder
- Four counts of Felony Murder
- Aggravated Assault – Family Violence
- Two counts of Kidnapping
- Aggravated Stalking
- Cruelty to Children in the First Degree
- Three weapons charges, including firearm possession by a convicted felon
“This was a deliberate, calculated murder carried out in front of a daycare center with children and staff inside,” DA Boston said in a post-trial press conference. “And worst of all, it happened in front of his own daughter.”
Montgomery’s family now raises her daughter and is working to shield the toddler from the trauma of what she witnessed.
“She’ll grow up without her mother because of him,” said Walters. “But we’ll make sure she grows up knowing the truth — and knowing she was loved.”
Nash, already a convicted felon, will never walk free again. Prosecutors say justice was done — but it came far too late to save Montgomery.
“She tried to protect her baby,” Walters added. “She died doing that. And that makes her a hero.”

This disgusting animal needs to be put into a tank of hunger piranha and slowly eaten alive. He deserves the worst death possible before his descent into Hell!
Hell is too good for him!
Why didn’t the judge add on more charges for the spitting incident – he could have been charged with attempted murder, especially if he is carrying HIV virus – these days saliva is potentially as lethal a weapon as a gun and it must be assumed to be so.
Human Garbage
Gee, I wonder how far the business of spitting on people will take him when he’s in the shower room with his soon to become mates?
Why was he electrocuted?Sent from my iPhone
