Nation’s Largest Teachers’ Union Misspells ‘Fascism’ in Anti-Trump Agenda Item

The nation’s largest teachers’ union just gave America a masterclass in irony — and spelling failure.

During its annual convention on Sunday, the National Education Association (NEA) pushed a resolution labeling President Donald Trump a “fascist” — but they misspelled the word fascism in the official text, using “facism” instead. Now, the union representing over 3 million educators is being shredded online by everyone from Republican lawmakers to frustrated parents who say they’re sick of political indoctrination in the classroom.

“Not only are they ideologues, they can’t spell,” one viral post on X (formerly Twitter) joked, summing up the backlash.

The resolution, reportedly intended to “defend democracy against Trump’s embrace of fascism,” claimed the union must fight to preserve the “survival of civilization itself.” But their blunder has become the story — not their political agenda.

“You can’t make this up,” said Corey A. DeAngelis, a prominent school choice advocate, who first flagged the typo. “The union that’s supposed to represent America’s educators can’t even spell fascism correctly. And they’re lecturing the rest of us on preserving democracy?”

It’s not the first time the NEA has taken a hardline partisan stance. Just days earlier, the group cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League over its support for Israel. Critics say this is more proof the union has strayed far from its mission of serving teachers and students.

Rep. Jim Walsh (R-WA) blasted the NEA’s resolution as “hysterical slander” against President Trump, adding, “If they spent more time teaching kids reading and writing, maybe they wouldn’t be embarrassing themselves on a national stage.”

Tina Descovich, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, piled on: “They can’t define fascism, can’t spell it, but want to indoctrinate our children with it.”

Chip Rogers, CEO of Americans for Fair Treatment, called the episode “a wake-up call,” saying, “Educators should not have their hard-earned money taken from them to fund this hyper-partisan nonsense. It’s time to get politics out of the classroom.”

The NEA has so far refused to comment on the spelling disaster or the growing backlash.

Bottom line: If the NEA wants to be taken seriously, it might want to check its spelling before declaring a political war on the president — especially one that half the country supports.

Under President Trump’s leadership in 2025, parents across America are demanding accountability, school choice, and an end to the radical politics infecting education. This latest episode? Just more proof the system needs a reset.

  1. Just another example of how far down the education system in the USA has slipped. So sad. Since they don\’t teach cursive anymore, claiming that it\’s outdated, did they sign this with their \”X\”? Imbeciles.

  2. And there you have it, these Marxist sympathizer’s are trying to indoctrinate our children and should have their funding stopped. The democrats are the party of evil.
