Hulk Hogan’s Shocking Cause of Death Revealed

Hulk Hogan’s official cause of death has been confirmed — and it reveals a heartbreaking health battle fans never knew about.

According to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, the wrestling legend died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, after going into cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home on July 24. He was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the age of 71.

But that wasn’t all.

Medical documents obtained by Page Six also revealed that Hogan — born Terry Bollea — had a secret history of atrial fibrillation, a serious heart condition marked by irregular heartbeats, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a type of cancer that attacks white blood cells. His death was ruled natural.

It does not appear that Hogan’s cancer diagnosis had ever been made public before now.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed a cremation request had been submitted, though no details about the procedure were shared. “I am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we received a request for cremation approval,” a spokesperson said.

Hogan’s sudden passing followed months of rumors about his declining health, which his wife, Sky Daily, had tried to dispel earlier this summer.

“No, he’s definitely not in a coma!” she wrote on social media just weeks before his death. “His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage. None of those rumors are true.” At the time, she said Hogan was recovering from a complex four-level neck surgery — an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) — and taking things “one day at a time with love, strength, and patience.”

Even Hogan’s longtime friend and manager, Jimmy Hart, tried to calm fears in June, saying the wrestler was “doing phenomenal,” even enjoying karaoke nights with his son Nick.

But the loss still hit hard — and unexpectedly — for those closest to him.

Daily, 46, posted a tearful tribute just a day after his passing, writing that her “heart is in pieces” and that the loss was “sudden and impossible to process.”

Hogan’s son, Nick, described the wrestling icon as his “best friend” and shared an emotional series of childhood photos. “This has been overwhelming and extremely difficult,” he admitted.

His daughter, Brooke Hogan, who had been estranged from her father in recent years, also spoke out. “When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him,” she wrote in a moving Instagram post. “Despite our ups and downs, our bond has never broken.”

She also revealed that she had asked to be removed from his will.

Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, with whom he shared Brooke and Nick, confessed that she was still in love with him. “It’s so hard knowing he’s really gone,” she said in her own heartfelt message.

Tributes to the larger-than-life wrestling legend continue to pour in from fans, family, and friends alike — a testament to the indelible mark he left on pop culture and professional wrestling.
