Bryan Kohberger Begs for Prison Transfer as Inmates Threaten Sexual Violence and Taunt Him Nightly

Bryan Kohberger — the convicted killer behind the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students — is reportedly “losing his mind” behind bars and pleading for help.

Less than a month into his life sentence, the 29-year-old former criminology Ph.D. student is begging prison officials to move him out of Idaho’s Maximum Security Institution after relentless verbal abuse, sexual threats, and nightly torment from fellow inmates.

On July 30, just one day after arriving at the notorious J-Block, Kohberger penned a desperate handwritten plea to Deputy Warden Dietz, RadarOnline.com reports.

“Not engaging in any of the recent flooding/striking as well as being subject to minute-by-minute verbal threats/harassment… Unit 2 of J-Block is an environment that I wish to transfer from,” Kohberger wrote, requesting an “immediate” transfer to the quieter B-Block.

Prison officials initially dismissed his concerns, insisting that flooding — when inmates intentionally clog and flush toilets to cause chaos — was “relatively rare” and assuring him J-Block was “generally a fairly calm and quieter tier.”

But the threats escalated quickly.

By August 4, Kohberger sent another urgent note — this time to a prison guard — claiming inmates had begun targeting him with graphic sexual threats.

According to his complaint, one prisoner allegedly shouted, “I’ll b*** f*** you,” while another threatened, “The only a** we’ll be eating is Kohberger’s.”

Kohberger named a guard who reportedly overheard the remarks, but despite confirming “vulgar language being used and directed towards Kohberger,” officials told him there wasn’t enough evidence to identify the culprits.

Prison authorities concluded that Kohberger “feels safe to remain on tier 2 in J-Block,” despite his repeated pleas to be moved.

According to retired homicide detective Chris McDonough, Kohberger’s torment goes beyond sexual harassment. Inmates are allegedly waging a psychological war against him — keeping him awake with constant noise and threats.

“The inmates are tormenting him at night and almost all hours of the day, taunting him through the vents in his cell,” McDonough told the Daily Mail. “They’re literally getting up into the grate and yelling at him. The inmates are taking turns doing it. It’s relentless. He’s extremely annoyed and frustrated. He’s complaining to the authorities that he can’t sleep because of them.”

Kohberger is serving four consecutive life sentences without parole for the November 2022 killings of University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle. The murders shocked the nation and triggered one of the most closely watched manhunts in recent memory.

In July, Kohberger avoided the death penalty by striking a deal with prosecutors, but at his sentencing hearing, victims’ families made it clear they expected his life behind bars to be brutal.

“You are nothing,” Kaylee Goncalves’ mother, Kristi, told him directly in court. “May you continue to live your life in misery. You are officially the property of the state of Idaho, where your fellow inmates are anxiously awaiting your arrival.”

Kristi also relayed a message from Kaylee’s younger sister, Aubrie, who mocked Kohberger’s likely fate in prison:

“You may have received As in high school,” Aubrie said, “but you’re gonna be getting big Ds in prison.”

With single-person cells, limited outdoor recreation, and showers only every other day, Kohberger’s life at Idaho Maximum Security Institution was always expected to be grim. But the constant harassment, threats of sexual violence, and sleepless nights suggest the convicted killer may be enduring exactly what the victims’ families promised: a living hell.

For now, prison officials have rejected his request for transfer. Bryan Kohberger remains in J-Block — where the threats, taunts, and psychological torture reportedly continue.

  1. This subhuman never had an actual functioning mind. And due to his actions, should receive no favors from actual humans. Ignore him. Let him rot. My fear is that some progressive/socialist judge will find some way to make his sentencing go away and will have him released back into society. Heck, if he was incarcerated within California, New York, or other such states, he’d maybe already be back on the streets having been required to have therapy and little more.

  2. He made his own bed ! Not he can sleep in it in it ! With new friends! Lmao ! Hope he gets what he deserves

  3. He\’ll get the same no matter which prison he is sent to …he killed 4 beautiful humans, he wanted this deal, now pay for it…..u r still living….not dead like the others,, enjoy…your lifetime in jail..u get whatever u deserve….I don\’t feel sorry for u…..😈

  4. No transfer, let him get whatever comes, abuse, beatings, rapes etc after killing 4 young people in their sleep he deserves it all.

  5. Amen to all the above comments… I hope his time in prison is a living hell. And all The other prisoners get to B*+ F*+^ him a billion X’s !!!
