Kamala Harris is back in the spotlight — and conservatives are having a field day. The former vice president is facing widespread backlash after announcing an international book tour promoting her new memoir about her disastrous 2024 presidential campaign.
Harris, 60, will kick off her 15-city “107 Days” tour on September 24, one day after releasing the book, which she claims offers a “behind-the-scenes” look at what she proudly calls “the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”
But online critics weren’t buying it.
“Never seen someone celebrate an L like this,” one user wrote on X, while another dubbed the rollout “the loser tour.” A third chimed in: “How to blow $2.5 billion in 107 days — Kamala writes the manual.”
Republicans wasted no time mocking Harris for turning her humiliating defeat into a publicity stunt.
“Kamala’s book tour is a nationwide comedy tour,” said Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) in a viral post. “The only thing missing is a laugh track.”
Even the White House joined the fun. Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson didn’t hold back: “She’s doing a tour about how she lost?” Jackson posted. “Nothing screams ‘2028 frontrunner’ like reminding America you couldn’t beat President Trump.”
Harris entered the 2024 race under chaotic circumstances after Joe Biden abruptly ended his reelection bid on July 21, 2024 — just 107 days before the election. At first, Democrats and the media rallied behind her, hoping she could energize the base.
For a brief moment, it looked like Harris had a shot. Polls showed her narrowly edging out Donald Trump in early swing-state surveys. But the honeymoon didn’t last.
From botched debate performances to unpopular policy proposals, Harris’ campaign imploded in record time. She became the first Democratic nominee in two decades to lose the popular vote — a devastating blow to the party establishment.
Despite the criticism, Harris insists the book offers “an honest look” at what went wrong and what she claims America must do “to move forward together.”
“I wanted to share what I learned on the trail and how we can build unity as a nation,” she said in a promotional video, smiling alongside campaign footage that many critics called “tone-deaf.”
Harris’ “107 Days” book tour will make stops in New York, Washington, London, and Toronto before wrapping up in Miami on November 20.
Whether it revives her political career or cements her reputation as the Democrat who couldn’t beat Trump remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear: Republicans aren’t letting her forget it anytime soon.
