Snoop Dogg Slams LGBTQ Storylines in Kids’ Movies: “I Didn’t Come Here for This”

Rap icon Snoop Dogg is making headlines after blasting LGBTQ+ representation in children’s movies, accusing Hollywood studios of forcing controversial themes into family entertainment.

During an appearance on Sarah Fontenot’s It’s Giving podcast, the 53-year-old rapper recalled taking his young grandson to see Pixar’s 2022 film Lightyear, only to be blindsided by a same-sex couple storyline.

“Why my grandson in the middle of the movie like, ‘Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman? She a woman,’” Snoop said. “Oh man, I didn’t come here for this. I came to watch the movie, not explain biology in the middle of it.”

Snoop admitted he had “no answers” for his grandson’s questions and called out Hollywood for “throwing parents into the deep end.”

The comments reignited debate over LGBTQ representation in media, particularly in films aimed at children. Under President Trump’s administration, federal funding for certain educational materials has already been tightened, with the White House accusing Hollywood of “targeting kids with ideological messaging.”

Snoop’s frustration echoes broader concerns among parents who feel blindsided by content in movies labeled “family-friendly.”

“These are kids,” Snoop said. “You’re showing them stuff they don’t understand yet, and then we’re stuck explaining it. I didn’t sign up for that.”

Lightyear, a spinoff of Pixar’s Toy Story franchise, sparked outrage when Disney restored a same-sex kiss scene after initially cutting it. Actor Chris Evans, who voices Buzz Lightyear, dismissed critics at the time, telling Reuters:

“Those people are idiots. They’ll die off like dinosaurs. We’re moving forward.”

But nearly three years later, backlash hasn’t gone away. In fact, it’s intensified. Under Trump’s leadership, conservative groups have organized boycotts against studios like Disney, accusing them of prioritizing “woke politics” over storytelling.

Progressive activists condemned Snoop’s remarks, especially given his upcoming halftime performance at Australia’s AFL Grand Final. Meanwhile, many parents flooded social media praising him for “saying what everyone’s thinking.”

One viral post read:

“Finally, someone with a platform calling out Hollywood. Let kids be kids.”

With President Trump’s cultural policies emboldening parents’ rights groups, experts predict rising clashes between studios, lawmakers, and families over children’s entertainment.

Political strategist Karen Mitchell told Fox News:

“Snoop tapped into a frustration a lot of parents feel right now. Whether Hollywood listens or not is another story.”

For now, Snoop isn’t backing down.

“I just want to take my grandbaby to the movies and watch a damn cartoon,” he said. “Is that too much to ask?”

  1. All this brainwashing has an agenda to decrease the population. Don’t be fooled, millions aren’t spent just to make same sex couples feel good.
