Revolt Erupts at Vanity Fair Over Melania Trump

The liberal meltdown inside Vanity Fair is reaching fever pitch. Staffers are threatening a mass walkout after learning that First Lady Melania Trump is being considered for an upcoming cover under the magazine’s new editor, Mark Guiducci.

According to insiders, Guiducci wants to “broaden the audience” and “bring conservatives into the fold” by featuring President Trump’s wife front and center. But some veteran staffers are furious, calling it an “assault on the magazine’s values.”

“I will walk out the motherf—— door, and half my staff will follow me,” one mid-level editor fumed anonymously. “We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife.”

Several employees reportedly warned Guiducci that putting Melania on the cover would “destroy the brand.” Some even compared the proposal to “selling out for clicks.”

“If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it,” another staffer vowed. “If he goes through with this, half the editorial staff will walk out.”

The revolt underscores a growing divide in elite media circles, where legacy publications are struggling to stay afloat amid declining subscriptions and a shifting political landscape.

While Vanity Fair’s progressive staffers are threatening mutiny, conservative voices are celebrating the possibility.

Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt called the idea “brilliant marketing,” saying she would “buy several copies just to prove a point.” Co-anchor Brian Kilmeade went even further, blasting the anonymous editor threatening to quit:

“You should be fired,” Kilmeade said on-air. “If you don’t want to do your job because you hate Melania, grab your tote bag and hit the Trader Joe’s checkout line.”

At 55, Melania Trump continues to be one of the most photographed women in the world — and one of the most controversial. Her supporters see her as a symbol of elegance and resilience, while critics label her complicit in President Trump’s agenda.

Behind the scenes, Melania maintains a famously rigorous lifestyle. She follows a strict diet, eats seven pieces of fruit daily, and swears by Pilates and tennis to stay in peak shape.

“I didn’t make any changes,” she once said when asked about cosmetic surgery rumors. “I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body. I will age gracefully, as my mom does.”

Guiducci, who took over in June, has vowed to shift Vanity Fair’s focus toward “entertainment, culture, money, politics, and style.” The magazine has already scaled back its news aggregation verticals and Hollywood insider coverage to prioritize high-profile, glossy features.

If Melania lands the cover, it could mark a major pivot — and perhaps a much-needed ratings boost for a publication that has struggled to maintain relevance in a polarized media landscape.

But if the staff mutiny materializes, Guiducci may have a civil war on his hands.

“He’s gambling with the future of Vanity Fair,” one source close to the negotiations said. “Either he brings in new readers… or he burns the place down.”

  1. If I was the editor if anyone threatened to walk out….Id tell them, “ There’s the door and don’t let it hit your ass on the way out!” Goodbye and good riddance!

  2. I’d rather see her on the cover rather than some has-been “actress” or the GUY that destroyed Bud Light….

And for the editor and staff that would walk out…”There’s the door and also there will be NO RECOMMENDATION for you to be hired elsewhere!” Go work for Trader Joe’s or go stock shelves at Wal-Mart (I did for 10 years)…but you will have to give up the posh lifestyle…..

  3. I promise it would be your top selling issue ever. The staff needs to crawl out of their bubble. I’ve never bought an issue of Vanity Fair but I would be first in line to buy one with Melanie on the cover.

  4. This story hi-lights what we all suspected. Much of the media has a very unbalanced political agenda. Not the media I grew up with. It’s time for a change.

  5. Please forward to Mark Guiducci. If half the Editorial Staff walks out, the magazine might survive!   My experience with staffers who are in any place too long, get overpaid due to loyalty, not competence, improved efficiency, or the like.  Let them walk out!  It will be cheaper than firing them (without cause).You\’ll do just as well, or better…with the junior staff stepping up to higher levels and the cost savings of those old has-beens will go straight to the bottom line. 6. How many times was Jill Biden on the cover? You remember her, the wife of the former president who lost his mind years ago. The same person who worked behind the scenes to fool the American people into believing her elderly husband was sharp and could run circles around the staff. Even photos of her working hard behind the resolute never gave you the smallest hint that something was different. Question, did you vote for her? Yet at every turn she was there, leading the old man off stage, interrupting just at the right time to speak on his behalf on The View before he babbled incoherently. His tepid stage presence when group photos were taken to make sure he was standing exactly on the X.
    But no one noticed.
Whether Mrs Biden looked tired or old it didn’t matter, she would appear on magazine covers as if she was Jackie Kennedy reincarnated.
But now that we have a new president who has achieved in a few months more than any other president in my lifetime and has a R beside his name, he’s become the devil incarnate with a whore for his wife and a foreigner to boot.
Never mind that she is much loved by millions and a wonderful mother who cares deeply about her country.
She’s just not worthy of a cover shot. It’s not just immaturity and ignorance that’s at play here, it’s much more than that. It’s a divided nation that’s become petty and weak minded. Walk off the job and give up your bloated income for a false narrative you refuse to acknowledge.
    No one cares.

  7. The I have ever read Vanity Fair. However, they have feature every First Lady for years except Melania. If there staff wants to walk out let them. I am pretty sure they can find other people who need a job take there positions.

    1. Can’t figure out how to edit my initial reply it should begin “I have never read Vanity Fair . . . “

  8. Real people couldn’t care less who appears on the cover of Vanity Fair. It’s nothing but an extremist far left propaganda rag. Non of those who contribute to it or waste time reading it are from the real world. It’s like a soap opera disguised as a publication. And, yes, I have read it a couple of times, so I’m not spouting off about something I haven’t seen.

  9. WHAT people have a strange position they produce these days. like mental sickness, some one better figure this out because i see it even in the news. God bless us all
