“Send Her Back”: Phil Mickelson Slams Ilhan Omar for Vile Charlie Kirk Smear

America is mourning the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk—but Rep. Ilhan Omar is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. And now, golf legend Phil Mickelson is firing back.

“Ilhan spews hate every time she opens her mouth,” Mickelson wrote on X Saturday. “She came here fraudulently and will hopefully be sent back to Somalia soon.”

Omar Spits on Kirk’s Legacy—Mickelson Fights Back

The blow-up came after Omar, appearing on CNN, doubled down on vile comments comparing Kirk to “Dr. Frankenstein” and suggesting that his legacy belongs in “the dustbin of history.”

“I’m not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind,” Omar said, referencing GOP efforts to memorialize Kirk after his brutal public assassination in Utah. “We should move on and forget the hate he spewed every single day.”

But Mickelson—who has been a vocal supporter of Kirk in the wake of the shooting—wasn’t having it.

He called out Omar for what he called her “fraudulent entry” into America, and praised Kirk as a “truth-teller” whose death had “exposed the rot in Washington.”

“The assassination of Charlie Kirk is bringing out the best in humanity,” Mickelson posted. “But it’s also exposing some of the worst—people who hate this country and mock the dead.”

Who Is Ilhan Omar to Lecture America?

Ilhan Omar, a Somali-born Democrat representing Minnesota’s 5th District, has long drawn criticism for her anti-American rhetoric, radical associations, and repeated ethics violations.

In 2020, she faced scrutiny over campaign finance irregularities. In 2022, she narrowly escaped censure for inflammatory remarks about 9/11. Now, Republicans say her latest outburst has crossed the line—again.

“She disrespected a murdered American,” said Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., who led a resolution to censure Omar on the House floor. “She has no place in the halls of Congress.”

While that vote was tabled—blocked by a handful of Republicans siding with Democrats—House Ethics Chairman Mike Flood (R-NE) confirmed Thursday that Omar is now under formal investigation.

Three Strikes: Ethics Case Builds Against Omar

According to Flood, Omar is being referred to the House Ethics Committee on three grounds:

  1. Disparaging remarks following the Kirk assassination
  2. Hosting illegal immigration workshops that may have encouraged Somali nationals to avoid deportation
  3. Misusing TikTok for both campaign and official communications in violation of House rules

“This isn’t just about what she said—it’s about a pattern of behavior,” Flood told reporters. “She’s using taxpayer-funded platforms to promote her radical agenda while tearing down American heroes.”

“My Faith Teaches Me Peace”—But Her Posts Say Otherwise

Omar later attempted to backpedal in a post on X:

“While I disagreed with Charlie Kirk vehemently… I don’t wish violence on anyone. My heart breaks for his wife and children.”

But just hours later, she reposted a video from a left-wing activist calling conservatives “Christo-fascists” and suggesting they were “using Kirk’s death to further their agenda.”

Critics say Omar’s statement of compassion rings hollow—especially after she mocked Kirk’s views on Juneteenth and accused him of “downplaying slavery.”

“There is nothing more effed up,” Omar told progressive outlet Zeteo, “than pretending his words and actions don’t exist.”

Trump Allies Fire Back

Under President Trump’s second term, conservative leaders have demanded a return to American values, national honor, and accountability—something they say Omar spits on regularly.

Turning Point Action board member Kelly Sloane responded:

“Charlie Kirk gave his life for this movement. Ilhan Omar didn’t just reject a resolution—she rejected American decency.”

The Bottom Line

  • Phil Mickelson calls out Ilhan Omar for “hateful” remarks about Charlie Kirk
  • Omar doubles down, saying Kirk’s legacy should be erased
  • House Ethics opens new investigation into Omar’s conduct
  • Republican leaders push back: “Send her back”

As America buries one of its most passionate conservative voices, Omar is once again making it about herself—and insulting the very country that gave her a platform.

President Trump has not yet commented. But the base is watching.

  1. USA is so good that llhan Omar is allowed to enter USA from utter poverty to become a billionaire or multi millionaire! But she does not fit as a US Citizen: I wonder how she is elected to US Congress. It is time to wake up and do some thing to expel to her and her family back to her native country and see that they never come back to USA. She is very crooked and a most notorious creature some how using loophole to enter the our country. She is one of the criminals not yet caught.

    David.

  2. I agree 100%, she is the most ungreatful, ignorant, pathetic excuse for a human being ever. Send her back and let her spew all that hate in Somalia.

  3. I agree with all of the above and would like to add that she’s also extremely difficult to look at (uglier than a bucket of assholes) and her accent makes my stomach turn. Garbage in two legs.
