President Trump Shuts Down Kamala’s Shocking Claims in New Book

In a fiery sit-down with Fox News’ Peter Doocy on the debut of The Sunday Briefing, President Donald Trump laughed off Vice President Kamala Harris’ bizarre claim that he once praised her as a “tough, smart customer” with a “beautiful name.”

“I don’t remember saying anything like that—maybe I was just being polite,” Trump said. “I was nice. That’s all. But smart? Tough? I don’t think anyone believes that anymore.”

The flap comes from Harris’ newly released memoir 107 Days, which details her failed 2024 presidential run and includes a dramatic account of her alleged concession call with Trump. According to a review in The New York Times, Harris claims Trump complimented her intelligence, praised her name, and promised to be “respectful.”

But Trump says the exchange wasn’t nearly as rosy.

“She called me. I took the call,” he told Doocy. “She wanted to talk about unity or something. It was already over. We crushed them. There was nothing left to unify.”

Trump added, “If I said anything nice, it was just me being presidential. Not because I believed it.”

Even some Democrats are skeptical of Harris’ attempt to rewrite history.

“She’s trying to make herself look like a historic heroine when most of the party had already lost confidence in her leadership,” one longtime Democratic strategist told The Washington Ledger. “This book might sell copies, but it’s not helping the party.”

And Republicans aren’t buying it either.

“Kamala Harris was a disaster on the campaign trail and she was invisible as Vice President,” said Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN). “The idea that Trump was sitting around gushing over her is laughable.”

Trump’s landslide victory in 2024—his third general election campaign—was seen by many conservatives as a referendum not just on Joe Biden’s failed policies, but on the progressive wing of the Democratic Party led by Harris.

Despite widespread media support and celebrity endorsements, the Biden-Harris ticket collapsed under the weight of economic stagnation, rising crime, and ongoing international blunders.

“The American people were fed up,” Trump said. “They wanted strong borders, energy independence, and peace through strength. And they knew they weren’t getting that from Kamala Harris.”

In a lighter moment during the interview, Trump helped Doocy film his first TikTok, joking that he was “working very hard” to save the app—“and your ratings.”

Still, Trump kept the focus on the bigger picture.

“I don’t care about her book,” he said. “I care about getting this country back on track. That’s what I’m focused on. Not fantasy phone calls.”
