The scandal surrounding Prince Andrew and his late friend Jeffrey Epstein has taken another shocking turn after newly uncovered emails reveal just how close the disgraced Duke of York remained to the convicted sex offender — even after denying contact.
According to The Guardian, Andrew allegedly emailed Epstein in February 2011, just days after the infamous photo of him with a then-17-year-old Virginia Giuffre appeared in the press. The Duke reportedly wrote, “I’m just as concerned for you! Don’t worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it… Otherwise keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!!!!”
The note was dated just three months after Prince Andrew publicly told the BBC that he had severed all communication with Epstein — a statement that now appears to have been far from the truth.
Epstein, who was later found dead in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, had been accused of abusing dozens of girls and young women. His longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for aiding in his crimes and is serving a 20-year sentence.
Meanwhile, that infamous photo — showing a grinning Prince Andrew with his arm around Giuffre’s waist while Maxwell stands nearby — remains one of the most damning images tied to the royal’s downfall.
Adding to the controversy, Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is now caught up in her own Epstein-related scandal. Leaked emails from 2011 allegedly show her referring to Epstein as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend” — even after publicly claiming to have cut ties with him. “I know you feel hellaciously let down by me… I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that,” Ferguson allegedly wrote.
A spokesperson for the Duchess of York told The Guardian that she was “taken in by Epstein’s lies” and only contacted him after being advised to calm tensions when he threatened legal action.
The resurfaced messages come as Prince Andrew, 65, faces renewed scrutiny following the news that Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, will be published this October. Royal insiders told Fox News Digital that Andrew is said to be “struggling privately” as the book threatens to reopen old wounds.
“Sources tell me there are serious concerns about Prince Andrew’s emotional well-being,” royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said.
Buckingham Palace continues to maintain that it does not comment on the Duke’s affairs, as he is no longer an active member of the royal family.
But as new evidence and old emails resurface, it’s clear that the Prince’s past — and his connection to Epstein — is far from buried.
Would you like me to make the headline even clickier, like something that could trend on social media (e.g., “Leaked Email: Prince Andrew Told Epstein ‘We’re in This Together’ After Teen Photo Scandal”)?
