Randall Woodfin, the mayor of Birmingham and a 2020 DNC showcase speaker, was recorded telling Jefferson County Commissioner Lashunda Scales that their “last conversation was about two t*******.” The six-minute call hit the internet Tuesday and instantly set off a political wildfire.

Woodfin phoned Scales accusing her of spreading rumors about his political loyalties.
