‘Love Gov’ Accused of Groping 72-Year-Old Grandma

Andrew Cuomo, disgraced former governor and current independent candidate for New York City mayor, is once again facing disturbing sexual misconduct allegations—this time involving a 72-year-old grandmother.

Karen Hinton, a longtime critic and former aide to Cuomo, dropped the bombshell Friday in a scathing Substack post, claiming Cuomo offered the elderly woman an unsolicited “under-the-dress” massage back in 2007.

“Stop, Andrew. I don’t know what you are thinking, but stop,” the woman allegedly told Cuomo, according to Hinton.

Cuomo, 49 at the time, was reportedly visiting the woman to help her son through a drug addiction crisis. But according to Hinton’s account, things took an inappropriate turn when he allegedly insisted on giving the woman a foot massage—despite her polite refusal.

“Let me make things easier for you, at least for a few minutes,” Cuomo allegedly said before removing her shoes.

What began as a foot massage allegedly escalated into something far more invasive, as Cuomo’s hands crept up her calves and under her dress. The woman, described as “terrified and humiliated,” demanded he leave. Hinton claims Cuomo apologized and downplayed the incident.

Cuomo has long denied similar allegations, but the optics are damning. He resigned in 2021 after New York Attorney General Letitia James confirmed he sexually harassed at least eleven women while in office—many of them junior staffers. Those allegations included unwanted touching, groping, and sexual comments.

Though prosecutors declined to press charges, the damage to his reputation was deep. Cuomo has since tried to rebrand himself as a political outsider, running as an independent after losing the Democrat primary for mayor last month.

Karen Hinton, who herself accused Cuomo of trying to kiss her in a California hotel room in 2000, says she’s speaking up once more because voters deserve to know who Cuomo really is.

“If he says I don’t want him to be mayor, he would be right about that,” Hinton wrote. “I have a daughter and two stepdaughters living in New York City… They want a mayor who treats women with respect—not with a kiss, or a touch, or a creepy massage.”

Cuomo’s campaign quickly dismissed Hinton’s account, calling it “disgusting untrue garbage from an unwell fabulist.”

“She filled a whole book with lies that nobody bought,” a spokesperson added. “This is a political stunt by a serial attention-seeker.”

Cuomo’s political dynasty—he’s the son of former Governor Mario Cuomo—once made him a Democratic star. But now, his repeated comebacks are increasingly haunted by accusations that refuse to die.

The alleged victim, now 90, reportedly refuses to speak about the incident. Hinton says she used false names and dates to protect her identity—but insists the story is true.

With November looming, voters must now ask: Can they trust a man repeatedly accused of preying on women—young and old—to lead the nation’s largest city?
