Hunter Biden Shrugs Off “Ghosting” His 7-Year-Old Daughter

Hunter Biden is once again at the center of a family scandal — and this time, it involves the little girl he still refuses to acknowledge.

In new Arkansas court filings, the 55-year-old son of former President Joe Biden argued that it simply “doesn’t matter” that he has completely ghosted his 7-year-old daughter, Navy Joan. His reasoning: he never agreed to be part of her life in the first place.

The statement stunned observers in a case that has dragged on for years and continues to spotlight what critics say is the Biden family’s cold and chaotic approach to accountability.

Hunter wants the long-running child support case to stay closed. His legal team claims the 2023 settlement should remain untouched. But Navy’s mother, 34-year-old Lunden Roberts — a former D.C.-area exotic dancer who met Hunter during a period he later described as “total collapse” — says the agreement has been violated in multiple ways.

Roberts says Hunter has ignored his daughter’s attempts to communicate. She also accuses him of refusing to provide the artwork promised to Navy as part of the deal, artwork that has plummeted in price since Joe Biden left office and President Trump returned to the White House.

“He’s cut her off completely,” a source close to the family told our outlet. “This little girl is watching her half-siblings live one lifestyle while she gets excuses and silence.”

Roberts is now asking the judge to increase child support and hold Hunter in contempt.

Hunter’s attorney, Brent Langdon, took a hard line.

“Any failure to communicate with the child is not punishable,” he wrote. “The order does not require the defendant to communicate with the child.”

The argument has angered family advocates nationwide — including some in Navy’s small Arkansas town, where residents have long viewed the dispute as an example of political privilege gone unchecked.

One local parent said Thursday, “If any regular dad tried to argue that he’s not obligated to talk to his kid, he’d be laughed out of court.”

Under the 2023 settlement, Roberts agreed to drop her push for Navy to use the Biden last name. In exchange, Hunter’s monthly support dropped from $20,000 to $5,000, and he promised to assign thirty paintings to Navy or provide proceeds from their sale.

At the time, Hunter’s artwork was pulling in six-figure sums, thanks to the visibility he gained while his father was president.

But that market collapsed after Joe Biden left office in January 2025.

“Even if no paintings have been delivered, there is no violation,” Langdon argued. “As long as thirty paintings are assigned, the order is satisfied.”

Critics say that interpretation turns the agreement into a loophole large enough for Hunter to escape responsibility indefinitely.

In filings earlier this month, Roberts’ attorney described Hunter as “classless” and “willfully absent.”

The documents claim Navy has begun noticing the stark contrast between her life and that of her half-siblings — kids who enjoy the full Biden family name, wealth, and access.

“It is axiomatic that no one can force Mr. Biden into being a good dad,” Roberts’ lawyer wrote. “But this court can ensure that MC1 receives support equal to that of her younger brother.”

Privately, Roberts has expressed heartbreak.

“She used to ask when he’ll call,” a family friend said. “Now she asks why he doesn’t want to.”

Hunter’s team says Roberts is weaponizing the legal process to embarrass him.

According to Langdon, her filings exist “merely for the purpose of making a national spectacle of [Hunter’s] personal life.”

He argues that Navy’s emotional state, their nonexistent bond, and her attempts to connect with her father are “not relevant” to the case.

Roberts’ attorney declined to comment Thursday.

Hunter Biden has publicly battled drug addiction, financial turmoil, tax investigations, and political scandal. Republicans note that even now, in President Trump’s second term, the Biden family remains under intense scrutiny.

For many, this latest dispute reinforces a long-standing image of Hunter as a man who creates collateral damage and walks away.

One conservative commentator put it this way on Thursday: “This isn’t politics. This is a father abandoning a child. And America sees it.”
