Left-Wing Influencer Caught Spreading ‘Misinformation’ About Halftime Show

A left-wing activist ignited a political firestorm Sunday night after pushing a viral and wildly inaccurate claim about the child featured in Bad Bunny’s controversial Super Bowl halftime performance.

Ed Krassenstein, a progressive social media agitator with a massive following, told his one million fans that the boy on stage was 5-year-old Liam Ramos — the same child briefly detained with his father by ICE last month. The claim spread like gasoline, amassing more than 10 million views before fact-checkers could even blink.

They didn’t.

Within hours, reporters confirmed the boy was not Ramos at all, but Lincoln Fox Ramadan — a child actor with zero connection to the immigration case. The revelation immediately raised questions about why such an explosive claim was launched without evidence and why it spread so aggressively among left-wing accounts hungry for a political symbol.

Bad Bunny has spent years using his celebrity to take swings at U.S. immigration enforcement, and Sunday’s halftime show was no exception.
The performance repeated the moment he accepted his Grammy last week, during which he blasted ICE and shouted “ICE out” into the microphone.

This time, he crafted a theatrical reenactment — handing a Grammy prop to a child actor watching him on a fake TV screen.

The message was not subtle.

Critics say the entire routine was a staged political stunt designed to embarrass President Trump, whose immigration crackdown and second-term enforcement priorities have left activists furious.

“This wasn’t entertainment. It was propaganda,” said one Republican strategist. “The NFL let a global pop star use the country’s biggest stage to send a political shot across the bow — and the left tried to weaponize a child to make the message even louder.”

As the truth spread, Krassenstein attempted a slow walk-back.

“UPDATE: There are conflicting reports,” he posted. Then a second update: “According to the latest reports the young child was Lincoln Fox — a child actor.”

But the correction didn’t match the reach of the original false claim, which had already touched millions.

The Ramos family had nothing to do with the Super Bowl.

Officials confirmed they were released from ICE custody in late January after a judge issued a ruling in their immigration case. Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro flew down to Texas to escort them home to Minnesota — a move one GOP lawmaker called “a made-for-media stunt meant to inflame anti-ICE sentiment.”

President Donald Trump, watching from the White House, blasted the show immediately, calling it one of the worst halftime performances in Super Bowl history.

Krassenstein did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
