Jeanine Pirro is warning that the toxic rhetoric surrounding President Donald Trump is no longer just political theater — and she says the latest assassination attempt proves just how dangerous it has become.
Speaking after the shocking shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last Saturday, Pirro said federal investigators are treating the case with the utmost seriousness as they build their prosecution against suspect Cole Allen. According to Pirro, the charges already filed rank among the most severe in the federal system and reflect what authorities believe was a deliberate and calculated attempt to assassinate the president.
During an interview on My View with Lara Trump, Pirro said Allen is currently facing three major federal charges, including the attempted assassination of a president of the United States. She said the case also includes carrying a firearm in interstate commerce with the intent to commit a felony, along with discharging a firearm, a charge that carries a mandatory consecutive prison sentence.
Pirro made clear that investigators believe this was no random act. She said the evidence gathered so far points to a suspect who was methodical, determined and fully prepared to kill.
Federal authorities, including the FBI, are still working to uncover Allen’s digital footprint, possible motive and the extent of his planning. But Pirro said what has emerged already paints a chilling picture of a man who came armed for maximum destruction.
According to her, Allen allegedly arrived with a 12 gauge pump action Mossberg shotgun, a fully loaded .38 handgun, extra magazines, daggers, knives, pliers and wire cutters. Pirro said the suspect appeared ready to do whatever it took to reach President Trump, even if it meant cutting through barriers or killing anyone who stood in the way.
She did not mince words about the gravity of the threat.
Pirro said the suspect had every intention of killing whoever was necessary in order to get to the president and members of the Cabinet, a statement that underscores just how catastrophic the attack could have been.
But Pirro also pointed to what she sees as a deeper and more disturbing problem. In her view, this kind of violence does not happen in a vacuum. She argued that years of relentless attacks from the left, including comparing Trump to Hitler, a Nazi and a traitor, have helped create a climate where unstable individuals feel justified in taking extreme action.
Even more disturbing, Pirro said, is the public reaction from some corners of the country.
She warned that there are people openly applauding the suspect, calling that response one of the most alarming aspects of the case. For Pirro and many conservatives, that reaction is not just disgusting — it is a sign of how badly America’s political culture has deteriorated.
She also expressed concern about the effect this rhetoric is having on younger Americans. According to Pirro, many are being taught to see Trump not as a political opponent, but as an enemy who must be stopped at all costs.
That mindset, she suggested, is pushing the country into dangerous territory.
Pirro’s message was blunt: this is America, and political disagreements are settled through law, not violence. Anyone who crosses that line, she said, will face the consequences.
The attempted attack marks the third known assassination attempt involving Trump in just two years, a stunning reality that is forcing renewed questions about presidential security, political radicalization and the media climate fueling the hatred.
For millions of Trump supporters, the latest incident is not just another headline. It is further proof that the campaign of demonization against the president has gone too far — and that the consequences are becoming impossible to ignore.
