Cross-Dressing ‘Neighbor from Hell’ Terrorizes NYC Apartment Building (Video)

Residents of a Bronx apartment building say they have been trapped in fear for months as an alleged “tenant from hell” continues to terrorize the property with bizarre, threatening, and deeply disturbing behavior.

The chaos has unfolded inside a building on East 214th Street in the Williamsbridge section, where neighbors say 28-year-old Anthony Orozco has made everyday life a nightmare. According to residents and disturbing footage obtained by News 12 The Bronx, the man has been seen roaming the hallways with weapons, pounding on doors, exposing himself, and behaving so erratically that some tenants say they are afraid to even step outside their apartments.

One of the most frightening clips reportedly shows Orozco wearing a dress while hacking at a neighbor’s door with a hatchet and screaming through the hallway. In another unsettling video, he appears near a stairwell without pants or shoes, touching himself in public. Other footage reportedly shows him wandering the building with a knife and knocking on residents’ doors.

For families living there, the fear has become constant.

“Sometimes we are scared to go to the hallways,” neighbor Alexandra Reina told the outlet. “He be in the hallways, he bangs on people’s doors with poles.”

Residents say the situation turned even more dangerous on April 4, when Orozco allegedly filled the building with gas after turning on all four burners on his stove without lighting them. According to management, the Fire Department responded and shut the gas off, but neighbors say he turned it back on anyway.

“They told him not to turn it back on, and then he was walking around smoking a cigarette, like he was trying to blow us up,” said Leonia, who lives next door.

Since that terrifying incident, the building has reportedly been left without gas for more than a month, leaving tenants frustrated, frightened, and furious.

Neighbors say the man’s behavior has only gotten worse. Some described seeing him naked in the hallways and acting wildly out of control. Others say they feel abandoned by a system that seems unable or unwilling to protect them.

“He’s the worst neighbor from hell that I’ve ever, ever ran across,” resident Zahara Cardwell said.

Police records show multiple run-ins with law enforcement in recent weeks. On April 13, Orozco was arrested and charged with criminal mischief after allegedly smashing a front-door camera with a stick. Then on April 29, police say he was arrested again after allegedly swinging a metal rail at a 44-year-old woman outside her apartment. That incident led to a menacing charge.

Despite the arrests and repeated complaints from tenants, residents say the nightmare has not ended.

Management says Orozco has not paid rent since January 2025 and that a non-payment case was filed in housing court. But more than a year later, they are still waiting for an eviction warrant, while the people living in the building remain stuck in limbo.

For many of the tenants, the case has become yet another example of a broken system that seems to protect chaos while leaving law-abiding residents to fend for themselves.

“I just wish somebody would definitely hear us out, hear our cry,” one resident pleaded. “Help us, please help us.”=

  1. Well, that’s NYC for you. They have a moron for mayor, voted in by left wing idiots. Maybe they’ll do something when this nutcase murders someone.

  2. It’s too bad a person can’t get a concealed carry permit very easily in NYC. When he attacked, it would be a case of self defense.
