Castro’s Daughter Gives Stunning Answer About Justin Trudeau Father Rumor

The rumor has haunted Justin Trudeau for years. Now Fidel Castro’s own daughter just gave it fresh life.

Alina Fernandez, the daughter of Cuba’s late communist dictator, was asked point-blank about the long-running claim that Trudeau may actually be her half-brother.

She did not deny it.

Instead, Fernandez smiled and delivered a carefully worded answer that immediately lit up the internet.

“The only thing I can say is that his mother used to visit the country very often,” she said during an interview with NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich.

That was enough to send speculation roaring again.

For years, critics and conspiracy theorists have pointed to Trudeau’s resemblance to Castro, as well as his mother Margaret Trudeau’s admitted connections to powerful and famous men during the 1970s.

Fact-checkers have repeatedly said there is no hard evidence that Castro fathered Trudeau. They note that Margaret Trudeau reportedly did not meet Castro until years after Justin was born in 1971.

But Fernandez’s refusal to shut the rumor down gave the story a new twist.

When Pavlich suggested her answer sounded like “a half answer” and asked if Fernandez planned to call Trudeau to find out, Castro’s daughter again dodged.

“No, no, I won’t do it,” she said. “If he wants, he’s gonna be welcome, but I won’t. I think he keeps that to himself, and you have to respect that.”

The rumor first exploded after Castro’s death in 2016 and resurfaced again in 2018 after reports claimed Castro’s eldest son had referred to Trudeau as his half-brother before his death. Those claims have also been disputed.

Still, President Donald Trump has openly mocked the theory, writing in his 2024 book Save America that “a lot of people say” Trudeau is Castro’s son.

Trump added that Trudeau “swears that he isn’t,” before joking, “How the hell would he know?”

Despite the gossip, Pierre Trudeau is officially Justin Trudeau’s father. Pierre and Margaret Trudeau visited Cuba in 1976, when Justin was already a young child.

But for many conservatives who have long criticized Trudeau’s left-wing politics, the rumor remains irresistible.

And now, thanks to Castro’s own daughter, it is not going away anytime soon.
