Fox News Star, 64, Reveals Diagnosis After Viewers Notice Weird Face

Sean Hannity is telling fans there is no need to panic.

The Fox News host, 64, was forced to speak out after viewers noticed something different about his face and voice during recent broadcasts, sparking a wave of online chatter about his health.

Hannity addressed the speculation Wednesday in a post on X after what he called a flood of “social media commentary.”

“Thanks to everyone who has checked in,” Hannity wrote. “I’ve already addressed this several times on my radio show, but while training, I developed a painful pinched nerve in my neck.”

The longtime Fox News star explained that his doctor put him on prednisone to bring down the inflammation. While the medication has helped, Hannity said it also came with some very noticeable side effects.

“My doctor put me on prednisone to reduce the inflammation, and while it’s helping, it led to laryngitis and some puffiness, which is normal for this medication,” he continued.

Hannity said he is doing fine, recovering well and still training. But he also joked that the medication has apparently caused more buzz than his decades-long run in cable news.

“Apparently a few weeks of prednisone has generated more social media commentary than 30 years of ratings success,” he wrote.

Then came the classic Hannity punchline.

“I appreciate all the concern and well wishes—including from members of the left-wing media,” he added. “Sorry to disappoint them, but a pinched nerve, a raspy voice, and a puffy face aren’t taking me out anytime soon.”

The explanation came after Hannity’s appearance on Fox News set off whispers across social media. Viewers noticed his face appeared puffier than usual, and his voice sounded rougher than normal.

Hannity had already tried to calm concerns earlier in the week on his radio show, The Sean Hannity Show.

On Monday, he asked regular co-host Lynda McLaughlin, “Don’t I sound better today? Aren’t you excited to hear my voice back?”

McLaughlin fired back with a joke of her own.

“I am, and I think America is excited that you’re not dying of a stroke,” she said.

Hannity then told listeners he had seen a doctor and was dealing with a bad sinus infection that led to laryngitis.

“I actually went to a doctor, and what he said is I had a bad sinus infection, which led to laryngitis,” Hannity explained. He said he did not want to take prednisone at first and was told he could “ride it out” without damaging his vocal cords.

Still, the speculation only grew after Hannity appeared on his Fox News program this week with a visibly fuller face.

Left-wing commentator Kyle Kulinski reacted to a clip of Hannity on X, writing, “Why does Sean Hannity look like he’s drunk, high on Percocet and 60 lbs heavier.”

Another account, @BadFoxGraphics, posted side-by-side screenshots of Hannity from January and June and asked, “Is Hannity OK?”

The questions came as Hannity interviewed senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller, who used the appearance to unleash on Democrats following progressive wins in New York’s Democratic primaries.

Hannity asked how Americans could ever “reconcile” political factions that he described as supporting “Marxism, socialism, defund, dismantle, open borders, sanctuary cities and states.”

Miller responded by arguing that the Democratic Party many older Americans remember is gone.

“The Democrats that your parents and grandparents grew up with do not exist anymore,” Miller said, before claiming that a vote for Democrats would empower a party that wants to “strip this country to the bone.”

Hannity, meanwhile, made it clear that despite the online rumors, he has no plans to step back from the microphone or the Fox News desk.

For now, the conservative firebrand says the mystery behind his changed appearance is simple: a pinched nerve, medication side effects and a raspy voice — not anything more serious.
